Hey Sarsij, were you bye any chance preparing for JEE 1998 from FIITJEE. If yes, then am sure that you must be remembering me. I'm Ravi Shekhar currently at AIM. I guess we were living together in FIITJEE's Munirka hostel. HAv not yet gone through all the posts in this thread, but I'd certainly like to give in whatever input is required from a current student.

Everything is fine abt AIM but this essay stuff looks horrible.

When do they ask for essay. is it after you get application form or after getting GD call.

While sending the application you will ave to send all the essay and the recommendation letters attached with it.
So, even if it looks horrible you will have to complete it by Feb 2008 ..... I guess Feb 2008 is the last month for sending the applications to AIM for the Aug 2008 course.

I think all you guys seriously thinking of applying to AIM, will be delighted to know that going by the developements here, "Everyhting is fine, except poor placement", phrase will be a thing of past.
This time they seem to be geared up for ensuring "quality" placement for their outgoing batch. In fact starting with our batch (1st 16 month intensive MBA degree course) they are aligning placement exercise with our Action Consultancy (or Summer Intership as it is known in India).

From the presentation they gave today, they really seemed to be focussed.
Our seniors were also amazed that this is the first time that AIM is actually taking placements seriously.
Good for us ....and yeah .. for all the future batches too.

Hello to everyone as well!

I'm currently an MBA student at AIM and I maintain a blog that chronicles how things are there (classes, career placement, admission, etc). The site is called The AIM Blogger.

Feel free to visit the blog (or PM) and comment if you have any questions about AIM.

The essay is not even the hardest part of the admission process. You have to submit the essays before you get a call for the interview.
