SentCorr was easy!
CR...mixed feelings
RC...was easy too but time taking!
QuantR & DI...didn't have the time to do justification!

we should expect some definite news coming in by Jan end.

tk cre guys...feel a little relieved after the test!
about 30 in Hyd .. not sure if any MM candidates.
SetB was lengthy as well..
SC was ok.... CR was tough man ..

Re: Asian Institute of Management (AIM) 2008 discussions - 03-12-2007, 11:37 AM

hi all...

I got set B, and it had 124 questions in all......as everyone said, Quant and Di were quite easy.....CR was slightly tough.....and RC was straightforward and SC was on the easier side........

I am sure everyone must have marked all the questions......

getting 50% should not be a tough job on the whole...........And the essay was also quite do-able, but varies from persona to person

Guys, who wrote AIMAT last year, can you throw some light on the fact that - How much importance is given to the AIMAT exam????

And can someone come up with the approximate number of AIMAT applicants????? Bangalore - 45 + Mumbai - 100 + other centres???????

Also about the number of applicants through GMAT scores............

Hope to hear from you all.

Thanks & Regards

hi puys,

i guess i were the last one to apply for AIMAT
sent the DD, photographs and request letter on nov 29
got my admit card at the centre itself..............not even opened the application kit yet

kaam ki baat: my ref no is 328. And mr. damodar udaywar told me that ard 180-200 candidates hav applied thru GMAT
that makes the total no of applicants ard 500+ (MBA + MM)
and the total selection ratio would be 1:10..............atmost 1:11

i'd the set havin 128 ques, attempted ard 110 and baki sab tukka.........bit short of time
met another guy (wid 5yrs workes ) who got a set of 124 ques and solved ard 100 ques

so puys, drop the no of ur attempts and all

cheers!!

Hi Arien_kaiser,

It is nice that you were able to apply.

By the way are you sure the 328 people registered for AIM admissions do not include the 180-200 candidates applying with GMAT scores? One of my friend is applying through GMAT and his application ref no is in 60's. So i guess in all 330+ have only applied. Anyways it doesnt matter. I just hope we have done well.

Someone told the results will be out in Jan. Anyone confirmations?

Well, so the wait starts. ATB

Sudi

Hi Anu,

I thought you had already submitted your forms going by your previous threads. Anyways I guess the last date was November 30. However I would still suggest you speak to Mr Damodar Udayawar in AIM Mumbai office. The phone number is +91 22 22815591/92/93. If you havent taken your GMAT and wish to take your AIMAT I guess u can do so till Dec 21st. Do confirm it with Mr Udayawar though.

As far as acknowledgement is concerned, if you send a mail to mumbai office asking them if they have received the completed application, they will reply back to you letting you know the status. I dont think they reply without you asking for the status.

All the best.

Regards,
Sudi

Anu,

I think the deadline was extended till 8 Dec'07 in case you brought your AIM kit little late.It will be good if you can speak to Mr.Damodar.
