Dear All, After lot of deliberation, I have decided to open a separate thread for IIM-A PGPX-III (2008-09). Following are the objectives with which this thread is started. - To share all information about IIM-A PGPX-III applicants, Essays, Interview shortlist and final selection.
- To know about each other.
- To request current PGPX batch to visit this thread and share info and their experiences.
Earlier threads like “IIM-A PGPX query” or “PGPX 2007 batch – Interview and beyond” are very useful but this thread will be specific to PGPX –III / 2008 batch. I know that a yahoo group already exists for this purpose but if we post on this forum, then we will leave permanent foot prints and same will be useful for next batches. Yahoo group tend to disintegrate once its purpose is served. All applicants to IIM-A PGPX-III are requested to post their short profile also. I will start with mine:- Name : Arun Age: 46 GMAT : 730/5 Qual: B.E. Elect, 80%, MNREC Allahabad Exp: 26 (with 3 Intl and 4 Entrepreneur) Sector : Energy/power Work area: Project Management All the best to everyone. However if you will go further, you will find that after this thread an exclusive thread for IIM-C was started (and correctly so). Similarly this thread is for IIM-A PGPX-III applicants.
Initially a common thread was OK but with application process almost complete for both the courses, it will be better if we have separate thread for both the programs. Though both the programs are alomst similar but IIMA and IIM-C may have diferent criteria for shortlisting for Interview and final selection.
Also separate thread will encourage present batch of IIM-A and IIM-C to post on respective threads. As mentioned in my first post, I have started this thread after lot of deliberation but I may be wrong. I suggest that we wait for 2-3 weeks and if it is not useful then I myself will request you to merge this thread with other threads.
regards

Hi Fellow Aspirants,
I have the below two queries.
1. Does the deadline of August 10th indicate the last date for Online submission of the form or should we be also sending in a printed copy of the duly filled form to reach IIMA before August 10th?
2. Is telephonic interview not an option? For people like me in remote geographies like South Africa and Tanzinia, should we travel all the way to India for the interview?
Thanks,

As for as Telephonic Interview is concerned, I have no idea. Send an e-mail to Alok Jain of PGPX and he should reply to you within a day.
I hope it helps.

In normal situation, "assets undermanagement" would include all fixed/movable/immovable assets under your management. Howevr it seems that IIM_A has clarified(as posted on Yahoo group by someone) that one can include salaries of subordinates also in this. I don't think this will have a major impact in any way. This data is more useful in financial market than in other industries.
So fill any reasonable figure which you can justify and forget about it. Most of the IT guys/gals will have only few computers to claim as assets under management.

Hi All,
I am Ajay, based in Ahmedabad.
I was admitted to PGPX- II but I had sought deferment to PGPX - III for personal reasons. I hope to see you all soon in PGPX - III.
Meanwhile, if you have any query, you may contact me. I have already faced IIM - A interview and perhaps may be useful to all of you.
Another important thing is that I am based in Ahmedabad and very proximate to IIM - A campus. This has given me an oppertunity to be in touch with IIM - A PGPX officials and current students as well.
Bye and take care.. | | | | | The Following 4 Users Say Thank You to ahmedabad2005 For This Useful Post: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
