Hi,

Can somone please elaborate on what exactly defines the "quality work ex" in terms of quality and time.

Does the IT juntaa fits into the so called "Quality work ex". Or its just another trick of the trade to present what you were doing for last couple of years.

Cheers.
I'm a so excuse me if i have posted a query not suited for this thread.

Need help Re: Abroad B-School Deadlines (2008) - 20-09-2007, 07:49 PM

All my frens on the forum,have a question.Request all to kindly pour suggestions after going through my profile below as i am wondering whether i should reschedule my GMAT Exam date ie 29-Sep-2007 to some other time:

My question & details are as follows:
************************************************** ****
After having prepared for two months,i couldnot improve much on score front for most of the mock tests(GMAC from mba.com & the paper based test from the same source).I am scoring in the range of 620-660 and in one Kaplan test that i gave,i got 540 only.
Now to brief about my profile:-

Working since Jun-2003 till date in ORACLE applications (ERP) as techno functional consultant (starting with INFOSYS & currently with MERRILL LYNCH)

ELECTRONICS & TELECOM engineer
Acads :- B.E-->75%
12th --> 74%
10th--> 78%
Curriculars include dramatics,sports (participated & lead teams) ,activities like education camps etc.

*******************************
Assuming ,and more so being so near to exam date,if i get any such score in range of 640-68-,I am worried that with such dismal score WOULD I BE ABLE TO MAKE IT TO A DECENT Bschool ,as initially schools of the like GSB,USC-Marshall,ISB,CEIBS & INSEAD(Singapore) which all i wanted to apply seemingly would be remotely receptive to my app.

In such a case what would be my chances to presenting a good app to schools like NUS,SPJCM(Dubai-Sinigapore),INSEAD(Singapore), and any other good Bschools(which any of you is welcome to suggest me) .

Request all to kindly mail /pm/ post your advice as i am less informed about the choices of schools to be made in this score range .
Also keeping in view that i would be very well held up with my office work till 30thOctober(ie entire month of October),is it anyways advisable to reschedule my exam date some time in november.Kindly advice .

I know i have put across a bit detailed presentation,but i deemed it neccessary in order to get really good insights from all PGmates in order to avoid any mistake in the initial round itself

Thanks to all of you who have invested time in reading this & are helpin me in resolving this dilemma.

In singapore...one can app to colls like NUS, nanyang..Insead (it has a campus there) would be a gr8 choice...

BTW could you share your profile with us..if u dont mind??

Hi Guys,

Need your help.
I wrote GMAT last month and got 710(va - 36, qa - 50). Planning to apply some decent schools in US.
But the problem is I am yet to start my application process. Even if i start now, i could apply only in R2(as deadlines for R1 is over for most of the schools). So if i apply in R2, will that affect my chances of getting admit? I know R1 is better than R2. But how far???

Hey All,

Be aware that the deadline of NUS first round is 31st of December. In my opinion, Indian applicants should apply in this round itself as NUS tries to restrict the number of Indian students to maintain diversity. Over 2000 Indians are expected to apply with an average GMAT score in the range of 680-690. All the best to everyone.

Thanks,
Abhishek.
