Hi,

You can justify additional MBA. I know someone from NIFT MBA (just an example) coming to INSEAD. Just tell them why u need another degree.

Interview tips: Be cool. Know your goals, essays, and why insead. Depends a lot on interviewer for how he /she takes the conversation.

INSEAD doesnt officially disclose the %age of people selected but I have heard that it's 25% of applied are offered admission.

hi buddy,

can you tell us how does INSEAD view those who apply for R3?
i have read that its always harder competing for seats during R3.....but i rather make sure my app is perfect as can be, than jst rush it to make the deadline for R2.

any comments or insights from any of u guys wud be highly appreciated......thanks!!

They say that R3 for them is an equal chance round. I saw lots of seats open till R3.

Of course I cannot be the authority for this

Hi there,

your profile is good.
few (cliche) things. As you could be from a competitive pool. Try getting some international experience and other extra-ordinary feats ? you have time to plan / strategize it.
What that will be is your call / options availability

Best of luck !

Re: INSEAD admit taking question - 24-05-2007, 01:12 AM

hi insead admit,

Congrats.........for being at the best non-US Bschool

hey, I am planning to apply for INSEAD for sept 2008 batch

here's my profile:

Mech Engg from REC / NIT Kurukshetra - 2002 passout
58 months sales experience - 2.5 yrs industrial sales & 2 yrs of project / institutional sales with Bose (audio systems)
GMAT - 740
ACADS - decent

aim: to move to consulting
Xtra cur - gud

· Vice-President of the College Photography club.
· Member of Mechanical Engineers’ Society & SPICMACAY at REC Kurukshetra.
· Founder- Secretary of BHUMI, a developmental institution.
  • Weekend Radio Jockey at All India Radio.
I have been confident that my profile is decent, but after the ISB debacle(cudn'tmake it thru the interview), i have been trying to analyse the reasons for this.........
one negative (whether isb or anyother B school perspective) is i may not boast of any international experience.......to be very frank.....i dont think I can shift to a profile in sales that wud give me the requisite intl experience beforei start applying to insead..........

given this profile.........do you think this has a decent chance of acceptance......or will the intl experience part become a major deciding critereon?

Can you tell me if all the ppl the have an intl experience or sbd with my kind of background is also accepted in the current & earlier batches......

Rahul
