Dear Kapmah, go for the Mannheim MBA. Mannheim University has the best rated economics and business department in Germany. So think of Germany and all the reasons that make it the 3rd most developed economy in the world! Cant go wrong; it may not have Harvard´s cache nor Cambridge´s reputation but it will definitely take you to higher grounds. And, best of all, you will have the chance to drink the best beer in the world!!!!
Best of luck

Hi,
I have posted on Phoren B- schools also. No reply. I am confused between NTU- Waseda ( singapore) and Mannheim business school, Germany.
Nanyang is high on international rankings but the program is in technolofy management so less job options in singapore as Finance and banking candidtaes are preferred or may be more jobs related to the field.
MBS , germany or NTU- Waseda, Pls advice.
Cost is same .
Rgds,
Kapil

Hi,
I was searching through the site and found this thread. I am also applying to a couple of places in Germany - GISMA & Mannheim Business School.
Was wondering if anyone has an experiences to share (good/bad) especially regarding job opportunities for an Indian in Europe. Is it worthwhile going to Germany for an MBA?
Any feedback would be much appreciated!
Thanks!
Amit

Hello Kapmah,
I donot see a situation here, which requires a reasoning, they say that the "donkey died of hunger as he could not reason out which stack of hay to eat out of the two equally sized one".............
You have a pretty simple choice...and its Mannheim Germany.
NTU cant catch up the Global Exposure univerities like Mannheim can provide, no doubt Singapore is out of India, but in a way it is India.
Secondly I know of real life cases who after six months of job search could not get one, they did it from NTU.
Germany is a great country and germans are very nice people, specially they are very nice to Indian's, I am working for a german firm and My work involves talking to german's on almost a daily basis.
If you look at the Alumni list you will see most of the Alumni are CEO's and CFO's today, Germany has more than 30% firms in the Top 1000 Of the world as per forbes.
Mannheim has a great Alumni network which is very helpfull...Plus you have the option of a semester in ESSEC and one semester in IIMB.
Anyways, you have to decide where to go.
Had I been in ur place I wud have gone for MBS, Germany.
Anyways regarding the postpoenment you should directly talk to the Admission officer, may be they allow it.
If you do not mind, do guide me for the Admissions, I have not given GMAT yet planning for next september i.e 2009, I have 3 yrs of work ex, A B.E. with a PG Diploma in ERP(SAP), good acads, great Extra curriculars. No recommendations letters searching for a few Proffessors to give me the same, I cant get Proffessional reco's i will be thrown out the moment I ask for them.Which recomendations do the Admission Committee value Proffesional or academic???
Thanks in advance for the info
