The IGTC PGDBA - 20-03-2007, 04:38 PM

Hi Everyone,

I have been hearing a lot about the 18 month general management PGDBA program from the Indo-German Training Centre - known as IGTC also... Apparently it is the educational wing of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce which kind of assures you 6 months working with leading companies...

Now, its suprising but till quite recently I haven really heard too much about the program or the centre - though their website is quite nice... Can anyone help me out here with any information about IGTC or its program? Has anyone applied for it or if anyone studying at IGTC can throw some light on it?

Thanks everyone

Dear Cutekooms,

Established in 1991, IGTC imparts a PGDBA program based on the German Dual System of Education, wherein theoretical studies are complemented with hands-on practical training in renowned German and Indian Companies.

German multinationals that currently support our practical training and placement initiative include Siemens, MICO, Bayer, BASF, Daimler Chrysler among many more.

Pathetic at the Bangalore ITGC.

Guys beware, Mumbai is the only better centre and others are just falling short at every turn.

First of all the false promises made during the admission:

1. Choice of company (internship)

During all my visit I was said if I was selected by more than one company, I would be given the choice to select.
Sorry to say that till date I was not informed has to which all company had selected me nor the criteria of selection. Though I was asked to join ******, after much requests with you I was given the chance to meet the HR of ******* for change of company.

The college prospectus says decision on which company to join is purely with the center.

So this shows how you guys can change the policies just for the sake of keeping students to your centre?

2. Admission waiting list hoax

At the time of payment of fee, I received an e-mail from center director (Mr.Amitav Sengupta) saying the fee (1st installment 0f 25,000) has to be payed within due date as there are candidates in waiting list. Failure to pay the fee on time would result in loss of admission.

This mail is sent to all the candidates short listed. But I could see at the web site that admission were still open at Bangalore and Chennai. Now during my discussion with you on the refund, I was told there is still vacancy and I have made loss to the center.

Whom were they fooling?

Thanks & Regards,
Rocky
