Hi all,
I have also applied to INSEAD but i sent the application on Mar 26th but my status still says that the application is being reviewed and ADCOM will contact me if something is missing.

I do not want to ping them just in case it is a normal thing for status to take so long to change, so anyone of you who has had a prior experience like this Please let me know.
-- Thanks
Sarge

Re: INSEAD Jan 2008 Batch - 19-04-2007, 07:44 PM

Y'all have been quiet for a few days...so did any Round1 ppl hear any thing else from Insead??

I was doing more research on the Insead experience and everyone seems to say 2 things:

1. Insead is a powerhouse for consulting, and pretty much everyone I read about in the forums who apply to Insead is interested in getting into Management Consulting..and thus say that Insead is a good fit because its curriculum would help them in their short term goal of becoming a MC. What about the applicants here....are you guys only interested in MC in the short term and thats why applied to Insead??

2. Insead's 1 year program is very intensive and prepares you well for the post MBA life of MC which is usually long hours and lots of travel, so applicants who plan on getting into MC for a few years chose Insead. However, in looking over the career stats for Insead, I found that Insead more or less equally distribute its students and place them info MC, Finance and Industry. But I rarely read about any applicant who is applying to Insead and whose goal is not to work as a consultant. I for eg. am interested in brand/product marketing and working in Europe after graduation...so am I out of place in applying to Insead?

What are your thoughts?

Re: INSEAD Jan 2008 Batch - 20-04-2007, 02:10 PM

Yonomi,
I have applied to INSEAD because i found couple of good things about it:
1. It has been one of the Best 1 year Accelerated MBA in General Management for many years.
2. The option to choose from electives will allow me to tailor the course to my needs (third point)
3. Short term I want to make a career shift and work for an investment bank
4. Long term I want to start a Venture Capital firm specializing in High Engineering and Energy.
I found that Insead has "Private Equity Club" and courses such as "From startup to fortune 500", these i believed will help me in making a career switch (Of course if they see my point and call me for interview)

uzzi,
The last date for interviews calls is May 11, and typically people will start getting calls in that week itself. So the wait is still on.
