Waitlisted in NUS

I got a waitlist from NUS just 3 days sfter interview.This forum is for people who also have been waitlisted for NUS

me too waitlisted... got the mail today.... i guess itzz more of down and out...
I presume the yield is gonna be pretty high in NUS this time.... So pretty less chance... My my my, 730 in Gmat, 4 yrs exp by Aug, still struggling to get into NUS... Whatzz going on???? Either i am a dumb prick or the whole world is insane.......

Hi all,
I am sure you guys hv received the following mail

We apologise for the delay in getting back to you. Unfortunately, we
have you on the waitlist after interview. While you still do stand a
chance should anyone defaults on their offer of admission. The
competition is extremely strong this year and its very impressive that
you have made it thus far. Due to limited seats in the NUS MBA program,
we regret that we would not be able to grant you a place but to place
you on the waitlist until we can accomodate you. The last announcement
for admissions would be made on 31 May 2007.

Do let us know if you would still like to be on the waitlist or
withdraw
from the application process. Thank you.

I was interviewed in Kolkata on 26th Feb. Was so sure that I hv made it, only to be awakened by the mail today. The fact that a 750 gmat with 5 yrs of work ex (by August) is not enough to seal the deal has given me a rude jolt... and I m not talking of Standford here.

Nice initiative to start the thread. Let's keep ourselves updated about each other's status ( I am still optimistic that status will change for the better)

Also like to debate why r u we shortlisted? Is it because all offers have already been made or our profiles are not suitable?

With 730 score, if you dont get into NUS...I can answer your doubt...whole world is insane...

Take a moment and think what ROI you will get from NUS...what you can get from other schools...then you may realise jo hota hai acche ke liye hota hai..All the best

Was going through BTDTE's blog...( a student of NUS-last year) and his latest blog on the internships there isnt at all encouraging...
A lot of career counsellors too never encourage ppl with 700+ to app here...but i guess this time ard there are only 700 + applicants to NUS..
The gmat avg for NUS is gonna be 720 + for Indians from this year on.

No offence to ne1 nor ne kinda mud slinging against this college.This place is definitely among the best in Asia ( as per ratings) and prolly will remain so.

Intrvd way back...16th Jan and got waitlisted..

25, male...CA from India, presently working wid a big 10 audit and consultancy firm in kuwait for oast 20 months.... 700 gmat...almost 4 yrs of we..

I think we all were too late to submit our applications otherwise we can only be waitlisted if the admissions commitee has some personal grudge against admitting people with high gmat scores

Nopes dear...atelast not for me..i applied way back in nov end 2006 and had my interview done on 16th january....

hey, wy is that some people doubt attending nus...i mean isnt attending nus is as good as attending iims or isb...people do pour in some thoughts on this..
