Hi Tweety,

My application was complete by Jan 31st. ie all required documents had reached them by then. On Feb 12th I got the mail for a telephonic interview appointment for Feb 14th. Within 24hrs of the interview I recieved the admit.

My profile is:
5 yrs work experience as an Engineer (3 out of 5 as a lead)
GMAT: 620/5.5
TOEFL: 110 (ibt)

About the essay, treat it as a statement of purpose that applicants for undergraduate programs usually write. My essay basically answered the following questions:
1. Why MBA? Why now?
2. My career aspirations?
3. A bit about my education and professional background

I wrote about 730 words. I think upto 750 is fine. You can always write them and ask if there's a limit.

I have just one more question to ask. If I am not mistaken, one needs to "courier" the hard copy of the application form as well as the transcripts. Is there any other information that needs to be sent?

The application can be submitted online also. However I assume the hardcopy is also fine.


Along with your transcripts courier the following also
1. references
2. copy of GMAT score
3. copy of TOEFL score
4. your resume.

I did not send in items 2-4 initially and was explicitly requested to submit them.

Copy of GMAT score? Is that required? I would be sending official scores through GMAC. Wouldnt that be sufficient?

That is sufficient. Only thing is that if GMAC takes a while then the university can start the review with the copy. They don't need to wait for the official score.
(assumption is that you have the GMAT score already...if not then you have to wait for GMAC)
