Will MBA help me in reaching my goals???? Need suggestions please!!!

Hi All,

I am working as a software consultant in UK. I am very much interested in doing an MBA in top B-Schools either in India or in US. I have 3+ years of experience and planning to join the MBA after 1.5 to 2 years which makes my experience as 5/5+ years.

The reason why I want to do an MBA is not only to form my career path for managerial positions but also to start my own consulting company down the lane. For the first reason, yes, doing an MBA will definitly helps for my first reason but will it helps in any manner for my second reason?

The other questions I have are:
1. What are the main differences between CAT and GMAT?
2. Can I get admitted into IIMs with a good GMAT score with out appearing for CAT?
3. Can the preparation for GMAT is also sufficient to appear for CAT or vice versa?

Also, I do not have any idea on where to start the preparation. I would be grateful if someone can make me clear on these questions...

Hola...almost all your questions would have been answered in the plethora of threads available...do familiarize yourself with the working of the forum by clicking on the newbie links in my signature...
It might take some time but will be rewarding in the long run....
