| Harvard Business School(2007)Indian Admit!!! Also Taking Questions -
01-03-2007, 04:14 PM
Hi guys, sorry for the long break in writing to the forums.
I have some good news to share with all:
1. Was blessed with a baby daughter on 24th of February, have decided to name her ‘Sachi’ (Japanese for ‘Peace’)
2. I have now time on my hand to answer queries from Harvard MBA 2010 aspirants (and any 2009 aspirants going in for R2 & R3)
Peace!

PS - U did not honor ur promise of opening a thread titled Har ... vs. ..... | GR8 memory! Views and ideas have tendency to change over period of time- though the idea of a threaded forum also reflects one's change in position and views over time!
At the time I had expressed the view about starting a thread entitled 'HBS or IIMA solve my delima'- I had not had the pleasure of meeting Allwin Agnel. Here was a guy with a background very similar to my own- who was not a academic wizard but knew how to run businesses and had the gumption to accept that not all had been hits! I saw in him a human dynamo- and my conversation with him over dinner solved this dilema for me (or so I thought).
However- when the time came to sever my ties with IIMA-PGPX, it was a very painful experience for me- I questioned and re-questioned for letting go of the finest brand not only in India but arguably of Asia.
IIMA-PGPX is a tiger in Asia- and mark my words- PGPXIII admission is going to be 'fought' over!
Peace!

Good for Harvard that you got out of ur dilemma. Otherwise Harvard would have had a tough time justifying why cryo did not join.. Is the brand name of Harvard getting diluted.. might have been the talk of the town. Sachi -- How is this pronounced Sa-chi, Say-chi, or Saa-chi
And a few of the queries (will be helpful if I apply next year - which I will do most probably if IIMs ditch me): -
1. Harvard traditionally have not paid much attention to GMAT. I have a stellar GMAT score but a pathetic academic record (at undergrad level).
So will I be able to convince the Adcomm regarding my Academic potential to pass the subjects there?
2. I will have 3 years of experience next year. Too less.. Any strategies that I can use to boost the profile.
3. Any other relevant suggestions.. Hard Work is not known to have killed anybody, but Why take a chance?

3. Any other relevant suggestions.. | 1. For HBS GMAT is pure hygiene. Having a stellar GMAT score goes in your favor as you can show academic brilliance despite average ungrad (I hope you have had above average scores in 10+2)
2. 3 years is good experience IF you can show good career graph to the ADCOM
3. mmm- don’t worry be happy
Peace!
