My interview was taken by a 2nd year student.
It was quite standard interview:
strengths/weakness/most important achievement/bad team situation/failure in life.
One interesting question that he asked me was "If you were to create a new MBA program of your own what aspects will you include into that program"
IMO, this question had to cover more than what you find on their website/brochure about "Why babson". The question gauges how focused were you when you started shortlisting B-Schools.

Overall, the interview was all about how good a communicator you are.
Note that my TOEFL was waived (but with a disclaimer from the adcom that my interview will be a critical factor to judge my communication skills)

I also had an interview with Melissa last week in Delhi. She really puts you at ease and is very enthusiastic about the school.

I had my telephonic interview on 11 December.
It was taken by second yr student.

Hi Guys,

This is in response to the queries regarding my Babson experience.

I would advice everyone to go through the interview database at Accepted.com. Also, read through the entire Babson site and gather as much information as you can about the school. This way, you will know enough to ask questions which are actually beneficial and not just available on the net for all to see. In the BW forums, Vivek has mentioned his experience. Also, the blog Babson MBA experience is informative.

As far as my experience is concerned, Melissa was very enthusiastic about the school. She was not interested in grilling anyone, but in ascertaining the FIT with the school. So, questions like Why MBA? Why now? Why Babson? became very essential. Some other questions were as follows:

what factors did you consider for determining which b-schools to apply to?
which other schools have you applied to?
your definition of success?
best/worst team experience?
career choice? why?
what would you like to say about yourself that hasnt been asked?
the roadmap between your work experience and your goals...

you should be able to convince her that this is the perfect time for you to go to B-school and the reasons for it. your goals (both short and long term) must be clear.

If she hasnt already provided the time for the interview, she will mail a day prior to it. Do carry your resume. She had a copy of my resume since I had applied in the first round. I am from Delhi, but have been working in Mumbai with an IT services company for the last 2.5 years. So I chose to go to Delhi for the interview since there was a gap of 2 weeks between the dates for the two cities. she also told me that she has quite a lot of interviews scheduled in Mumbai.

I have not heard from Babson since the interview. I am not too sure when they will start coming out with admits.

My background: 2005 passout from DCE, spec being Electronics and Communication. 2.5 years work experience in the IT industry, good extracurrics, good career progression.
GMAT - 740
TOEFL - 109
Stream applied for: Entrepreneurship
Program applied for: 2 year Full-time
