I think you should ask the ad comm to give you an update by some date ( you decide till which date you can wait) as you have to enroll yourselves at other schools where you have gained admission. You've been waiting to hear from BC as it is your priority school because of X, Y , and Z reasons and that you require a response from BC by the date you've mentioned.
If they are still considering you, you'd get a positive response.

good luck!

Has anybody received an interview invite for R1 15th November deadline for Boston College CSOM yet? Any idea on when we can be intimated about it, if at all?

Hi Henry,

Sorry for not replying to your question sooner, I rarely log into pagalguy, so you are welcome to direct any question to me at rakesh.nits@gmail.com as well.

as for your questions:

Do you want to know about Boston, or Boston College.

As far as Boston College goes; It is awesome for Finance, great for General Management, above average for Consulting, and not so good for Technology. Infact Boston College is ranked top 10 for Finance in the country, and has great alumni reach in the financial district, but Consulting nevertheless has a decent alumni outreach as well.

But Boston as a city, apart from being a financial hub, has great opportunities for General Management and Consulting as well, not so much for Technology though.

If you are looking for a good course in Technology in Boston Area, then go for Boston University, they have a good program for technology, and they also provide dual degrees in MBA and MS in IT.

Hope it helps, feel free to reach me via mail.

Rakesh

Hopeful_apper,

Boston College doesn't send out interview invites for R1 applicants.

All R1 applicants are eligible for an interview, and you have to schedule your own through the admissions website. See if it not too late yet, and schedule an interview as soon as possible. Worst case if you don't find any empty slots, then do call up admissions dept to schedule an interview.

Hope it helps, and do feel free to reach out to me via mail.
