Boston College : Interviews & Admits

Hi everyone,

Apologies for the delayed information.. was offered an admit to the BC MBA program early this month.. with a schol + GA package that covers
50 % the first year tuition and renewable in the 2nd year depending upon a few conditions which should not be a problem.

My profile : Gmat - 710, acads - avg, 2 yr IT (Tech + some consulting exp) .. good EC. Although I think my interview made all the difference. It was held on 19th January and got my decision a couple of week later.

Looking to shift into finance .. have other admits but I would prefer joining BC over em.

Any idea what word limit we need to maintain while writing the essays. It just says 1 or 2 pages.

My suggestion would be dont be bothered by word limit. Make sure your profile is highlighted well in the given space of 1 or 2 pages.

I have my interview next week. Mind sharing ur interview experience? Any tips or suggestions? Who interviewed you? Also, has the interviewer seen our application? Would really apprecaite a prompt reply.

Hello Hitesh,

My interview was very friendly and discussion type. Asst Director, Admissions took my interview which lasted for 30 minutes dot. It was a blind interview which means that the interviewer had not seen my application.

Getting to what you should prepare. Make sure that you are well prepared with basic questions like Why MBA, Why now, Goals etc. Practise by cross-questioning yourself with every answer and be confident.

Hi All,

Good to see so many admits here, m back on pagalguy after a year now since being ditched by CAT. Now back to find some classmates, after getting an admit from BC CSOM.

So can we put up a list of admits with their profiles as well, and whether matriculating or not. Then we can even go on to meet somewhere or atleast start coordinating our future course of action.

Here goes mine:

GMAT: 670 (QA-48,VA-35,AWA - 5.0)
TOEFL: 108
WorkEx: 2 Yrs working for one of the biggest Software Companies of the world as a Team Lead
Acad: Average (8.18/10.0 GPA from an NIT)
ExCurr: Excellent
Community: Above Avg

Had my interview in person at Bangalore on 17th Jan, which really went off well..

Admitted to BC CSOM (R1) with 33% Schol, and as of now joining...

So there goes mine, hope we can put a list together, and start bonding
