Hi friends

My profile and admission related dates is as follows

Application submission Nov 06, 06
(Including referee report)

Interview confirmation Nov 27, 06
Interview date Dec 02, 06
Admission confirmation Dec 12, 06

My profile is as follows:

10th ICSE 89
12th CBSE 90 (national scholarship)
BE E&C 72 (department topper)
GMAT 700

28 months IT work ex as on Dec, 2006.
19 months in Mindtree and 9 months in the current company.

Extra curricular
Leadership and entrepreneurship experience in family led NGO and family led college.
Started a corporate trekking club.

The first 2 points made the difference.

Part of corporate social responsibility groups and felicitated with certificates.
Won awards in public speaking, chess competitions and school/college fests.
3 internships during college.

From my experience I can say that the adcom was interested in a good GMAT score. They said that they are looking for Indian profiles with 680+. But last year one of my friends got through with 650. But he had a great profile.

Secondly, a lot of emphasis was given on extra curricular and leadership experience during the interview. I was grilled a lot on all my achievements and interests. I was asked to give instances when I had demonstrated leadership.

Guys the interview lasted for 87 minutes. It will take me hours to document the same. Will find some time from office and update the important questions during the weekend.

do they ask to show certificates at any stage of the admission process??

they didnt ask me for any. but i carried all my certificates / mark sheets and other documents for the interview.

Hey Guys,

I ahv also app to NUS and hv my Int schdld on 16th Jan. I read that intrvws are either in person or telephnc but these guys hav asked me to have an online chat thru skype...Is thr anybdy else on the board??

Chartered Accountant from India currently wrkng in the State of Kuwat for the past 1.5 yrs in audit and cnslting...was with AmEx in India, Delhi...GMAT 700...

hi all

well went through a lot of posts in this and other threads related to NUS mba.a lot of ppl in some of the posts were actually anxious abt the time duration of the interview....well here is my case.I am here at NUS, was admitted last year....my interview lasted for 10 mins and i got an admission offer the very next day and absolutely nothg unusual was asked in the interview........the same routine stuff.....

yeah even i heard that nus interviews are very cool. my friend abhishek nigam is also in nus. but i had a very different experience. can u give some information regarding internships and final placements.

guys, do you have any idea on a certain "cap" on the no. of indian applicants. well, i submitted my app December wnd. have mailed them and they hav told that another round of interviews will be aroun Jan end.

Other than that i have nott received any communication.

What are the chances of getting a call ??

as per the NUS admission director's interview on PG, this year they would put the cap to 30% for indians.
But this accounts for the total undergrad(BBA)+grad(MBA) students...i guess.
Moreover, they might increase the total intake for MBA this yr.

Current students...please throw some light on this issue.
