Hi Ravi,

Can you also tell us about the Moratorium and whether you have to pay the interest on the loan amount even while you are studying.

What are the documents you need to take to the bank, other than your admission offer letter...That would be helpful for us to take all the essential documents to the bank when approaching for the loan...

Thanks

Hi KKJha!
we are trying for some loan from Indian Bank without any collateral or cosigner.for that we need the placement stats with exact salary the recruiting companies paid to each placed student this year.this will be a big help for our effort.
you are currently at AIM and i feel you are the best person to help us with these figures.

Hi

Moratorium is for period of the course plus six months or till you get the job, whichever is earlier.
Simple interest is charged for the course period. If you service the interest during the course, 1 % less interest is charged.

Documents are standard ones:
Bank statement for one year, marksheets and certificates, photograph, identity and address proof.
Bank documents would be:
Loan Agreement, Third Party Gaurantee, collateral documents if you are taking loan more than 7.5 lacs.
PSB banks are very much co-operative, it helps to have an existing account with the bank also better if you approach the bank near your residence.

Helo Preet,

I am not in Manila. In fact I am also looking for some avenues to get easy loan to finance my MBA at AIM 07-08.
Placement data of past years can be downloaded from AIM W.Sy Cip GSB site About AIM

However, the data for the Batch 2007 will only be available after June07.
If you have any updates on loan front pls post in this thread for the benefit of all other students.

At last, after a lot of "Bhag Daud", I got my PCC from SP Office.
In last few years I'd stayed in more than three addresses inside Jaipur and all of them were under different Police station .. which only resulted in increased "Bhaga daudi"...

Neway ...

Now can anybody clarify if this'll work or I've to get it from Passport office only?
By the way, I saw number of persons standing outside SP office for the PCC only ... so hopefully the PCC we get from SP office should serve the purpose.

Shekhar, It would be a good idea to check with the Philippines consul in Delhi. I think they require the PCC from the RPO (regional passport office). Anand

Hi Anand..

Got it confirmed from Philippines embassy in Delhi .. the PCC that we get from SP office won't work.. (
In the reply to my mail they have clarified that the "scope of PCC we get from RPO is national, whereas for the one we get from SP office is local" (
And when I called them, the only thing they could explain is that the "size" of paper of PCC issued by Passport office is slightly less than A-4 size certificate we obtain from SP office ..

Ab to bhagwaan hi maalik hai ... Jaipur RPO is saying that they have forwarded my case on e-mai to Guwahati RPO and they will proceed only after getting reply from Ghy RPO.

Hey Shekhar,

As My understanding goes, Once you get the PCC from RPO, you have to get it authenticated/attested from the Secretary of the State Home Department. I am myself not sure what all do we need to take to the Sec for his authentification.

This is what I gathered after speaking to Damodar.

Good luck!

Regards,
R
