Hi guys,

Congratulations to all who got admits and secured schols...8-)

I have applied to BU as well..i have been waiting for the decision letter; they have mailed stating that the decision letter has been sent.

Can you tell me when was your interview done and how long it took after that to get the decision.

Re: Boston University admit - 20-12-2006, 03:01 PM

I had recieved that kind of mail in October. But I was in UK that time and I asked for a mail which contained waitlist. And when i came back to India the letter again had a waitlist and a letter of intent which i had to sent back.
Can you give your profile?
It looks like you have been placed on waitlist. Otherwise you would have got a rejection mail.

Re: Boston University admit - 20-12-2006, 03:24 PM

well that profile is quite good. I wonder why you are on waitlist.
I think you have not convinced them enough about your interest in BU.
Here are my suggestions-
1. Wait for the decision letter
2. If it has a waitlist and a declaration of intent form then
1. contact admissions office asking for reasons if they give any
2. Fill in the form ,attach a letter which describes your interest in boston ( or whatever admissions office ppl say was the reason for the waitlist)
Then wait.
Good luck

Were you informed about your admit by email or did they send a decistion letter for that? I am confused because you seem quite confident that decision letter is for waitlist..

Thanks for your suggestions anyway..

We were informed by mail.
The reason for that is I had prevously recieved that mail.
Here is it.. Did u get the same.

Dear mleo,

Thank you for submitting an application to the Boston University School of Management. The Admission Committee recently completed its review of your application and an official letter was sent today to notify you of your decision.

If you have not received a decision within four (4) weeks, please contact us.

Regards,

The Graduate Admission Team

Yes this is what i received, too. Does this mean a waitlist or could it be an admit or rejection as well?

How long did it take to receive the letter after this email was sent to you?..cause i received this email about ten days back.

Lets hope it is an admit or a waitlist atleast.
Should not be a reject because they would have sent u a rejection mail.
I think you should wait for 2 more weeks ( jan 5) and then call them up.

Good luck
