Now i'm planning to seek an MBA. I've got 710 on the GMAT

RSM is a very reputed college in Europe and comes in top 15 European B-Schools.

It's a 18 month program.

Not all european schools have one year duration! Most are longer...

With your profile(and backing of good essays) you will get Interview calls from most of the top European colleges.

European schools are good for International Exposure,Short duration, less expensive compared to US schools but then only the top schools like Insead, LBS, IESE, IMD, HEC and SDA Bocconi have the reputation and the coursework to match that of the top US B-schools.

If you intend to work in IB or top consulting firm apply to the best in europe.

RSM is a second tier college, but has very good reputation among the recruiters.

I had and have the impression that RSM is a 15 month program (International MBA program) ? Or am I looking at the MBA?

Do you know what kind of career opportunities there are with RSM?

There must be something wrong with the statistics. How can a company hiring 1 person make it into the top 15?

this only accounts for a fraction of the class (approx. 30 hires) where did the rest of the class go to?

am looking to go into consulting, would RSM be a good jump point?

In any college the placement is never 100% at the time of graduation.

And the list showed the recruiters coming to college(campus recruitments)

Usually most get placed(90%) within 3 months of graduation.(which includes summer internship, personal networking, personal efforts, etc)

RSM is in top15 for that reason., 'coz u r gona get a job that pays u wel! And most consultants would be pleased to hire a graduate from RSM, but it's not a cakewalk!

I suggest u visit topmba.com, businessweek.com and whichmba to learn more about colleges.

If you want to work in consulting companies, Insead is the safest bet in Europe.
But remember everythin depends on you, college opens the door - U got to walk thru it!

Keep in mind that INSEAD has a high number of students that are sponsored by their companies such as McK and other m.consulting companies? So it skews the recruitment numbers.

Is RSM second tier europe school?

Also Insead takes in nearly 900 students/year!(2 batches)...to support the 'skewed data' theory!

Whatever the case, Insead is a much better school.

Is RSM a second tier school, hmmm, so difficult to say. I would say it doesn't come in top-10 B-schools of Europe in most of the rankings available.
