Depends on what is the selection criteria you have topmost in your mind- career goals, peers, quality of faculty, reputation of school in country and among recruiters, economy of country,ROI and ease of finding job to name a few.

I kept these criteria in my mind while putting ISB as my first preference.

For eg: the RSM welcome pack has a survival kit called Expatica, the tone used there gave me the impression that expats are advised to stay away from Holland and are not welcome. That is a really bad start to the welcome kit as it makes one apprehensive at the very outset.

Thumbs up Re: RSM Erasmus( Netherlands) 2007 Interviews N Beyond - 12-02-2007, 03:26 AM

Hi tennis. Thanks for the reply.
I actually applied to three schools. ISB, INSEAD and RSM. Got a straight ding from INSEAD and admits from ISB and RSM.

I choose to apply to RSM after a lot of thought.
The summer internship at RSM(I'm from IT and I don't plan to change my stream), the diversity of the class(students from 40 countries) and the Personal leadership development program are things that made me decide on RSM. But RSM is slightly low on some of the rankings and placement related info is somewhat hazy. I realize that if I put my efforts(which I will) I shd do well in that front. Becoming a global MBA makes RSM really attractive.

As for ISB itz reputation is second to none in India and it is catching up in a very very big way around the world. The class composotion is the best in India(Infact I believe it will be more competitive than RSM) and the placements are also very good. I also have a need to settle in India in the long term which makes ISB very alluring.

This is the problem I'm facing !

Hi...

I am also expecting positive news from RSM.

In addition to RSM I am expecting positive response from IE, Spain, HEC Montrel and HEC PAris

Going forward, I am planning to finalise with IE due to its international student body, excellent placement results and above all good exchange programme.

RSM is also attracting me due to its excellent place, decent placements, excellent leadership and international student body.

HEC Montreal and Paris with its strong focus on international students are also good bets.... Still deciding on the way forward....

Any one else planning to join IE / RSM... Do revert

Thanks

TOEFL is not mandatory for RSM. I got an admit without TOEFL.
