Looking into the profile,you should be more that confident for applying if you can prove the worth of the time & the situations you have worked into,the learnings that your assignments have brought for you.
Regarding the gap,there are many able people who take HIATUS from their jobs/studies in oder to pursue their interests(this concept however not much prevalent in India yet) so you donot have to worry abt that if you can explain appropriate reasons for the gap
Also,there is nothing like Gov sector experience being weighed lesser than that of others.

I am a software engg and have 1.5 years of work ex.Actually i am very much desperate to do mba from spjain dubai/singapore.By the fact , i only want to do it from this insti. but i dont knw how to prepare for it ...and by the time i will crack it i will have 2 years of work ex ...so will it be sufficient for executive mba ? and secondaly wat abt GK part ? I am joining CAT classes so will that be enough for it ? and in which month i have to take it ? and yeah last one... sp jain entrance occurs every half yearly?? please do reply or mail me at

I am interested in persuing an MBA program at your dubai campus, regarding which i wanted some information. firstly let me tell you about my profile.
1. I had B.B.A in my graduation with my majors in marketing and aggregate of 63%
2. i was a member of Aiesec an international students oganisation for three years
3. Have done about two years of social work with WWF
4. lastly i have about 2.5 years of work experience in advertising and have managed brands like Maruti Swift, Pepsi, Mountain dew.
Now my question to you is that, what is the GMAT score that i require to get thorugh to your college and also if you could let me know a little about what kind of job oppurtunites i would have post my MBA in both Indi and Dubai

Im pursuing Bachelor Of Management Studies (B.M.S.) in Mumbai and i'm in my last year. I have been scoring a first class in all my semesters and i recently scored a first class with distinction. I will be graduating March 2009. I don't intend to give CAT or GMAT and I wish to do my MBA straight after my graduation.
I have lot of extra curricular achievements specially in organizing events and other cultural activities. I'm the President of events in my college and Iv also been headed many social cause events.
I wanted to know how i would fair and what would the syllabus be like for the SP Jain entrance test and when is the next date i can take the test and apply for the GMBA program since i will be getting my result of March 2009 exams somewhere in June 2009.
Also can't i apply for the May 2009 intake with just giving my exams and and awaited result?
Please assist me with the above as the same is not listed on your website.
I am interested in joining SP Jain GMBA December 2008 session.
I had applied for June 2008 as well but was not able to manage a call from the institute.
I have a score of 89.31% in CAT 2007. I am a B.Tech having 2 yrs of work exp in HCL.
10th - 80.6%, 12th - 68.8%, B.Tech - 70.92%. ECA are good.
Will that CAT score suffice for a call? or should i take GMAT so that my profile becomes strong?
Also, please let me know when is the SP Jain exam scheduled?
Firstly pls clarify if you are interested in the Executive MBA or the GMBA? If its the GMBA then yes we always prefer candidates with good work ex. The prepapration for the SPJAT can be done by referring to any of the other MBA entrance test books. We havent yet decided any dates for the next aptitude test inref to the Dec 08 intake. Pls check our website early June for these details

You would be able to apply for the Dec 09 intake and notthe May 09 intake as we need students to have their results in their hand before applying for the programme.
There is no fixed syllabus for the SPJAT. You may refer to any other MBA entrance tests while preparing for the SPJAT
