Hey hi Rutty,

I got a cal from your side and i booked 11:30 slot on sunday, 11 march.
Could you please tell me the route map to reach spjain for domestic airport and how long the entire procedure will take---- so that i can book my flight from delhi accordingly.

Also please let me know the lumpsome amount I'm suppose to pay incase i qualify from your end after the selection( by god's grace) .

In extension to my previous query, please also let me know whether multiple placment can also be achieved from sp jain dubai.
I have read always on all the links pertaining to spjain that the placmenst have been 100%.
No further references has been made that if there exists get multiple placmenst from your college. (placement ratio of the college ).

Thanks for creating a forum to clear all the doubts and apprehensions we have.

I had a question about ROI for GMBA,

The fees for GMBA is around 25000USD. Apart from this we also have to bear the expenses of laptop, food, travel and other incidental expenses. Leaving the opportunity cost for 1 year, i would be investing roughly around 14lac INR for an year. (I am a SW Eng and my current sal is 6lac INR PA. I will not add this opportunity cost for the calculation here.)

Considering i take an Education loan at the prevailing interest rate from a bank, the EMI after i complete my MBA would be around 30k INR (Calculated for 5 year term).

From your website if you see the average Indian salary after the MBA (for all specializations combined) is around 7lac INR PA. This amount will be the CTC, and so a thumb rule calculation would give us around 35k INR as the monthly takehome salary.

Considering the above numbers, will GMBA be a right option for investing?


A frank analysis on this matter is appreciated.

EMI Calculation details
EMI calulation is based on the interest rates currently prevailing in Syndicate Bank.
Syndicate Bank provides a max of 5 years term for an education loan.
For loans above 7.5 lacs, interest amount should be paid even during the period of study.(This would be around 80k for one year)

Hi Rutty
I have got a call for evalution which will held on 11th Mar. As I have applied online, so they asked me to download the form, fill and bring it along. In my online application I have filled Service Marketing and Management as my superspecialisation and I have got my application number too as 13006-SMM. But now after discussion with my family and looking into my future prospective (before evalution, in my downloaded form) I want to change it to Product Marketing and Management.
Is it suggestable to do that? Please guide me regarding this

Some of my frends told me that in the provided 1yr program...we will have to spend 6 months at dubai and 6 months in singapore?

Is it so?

Then the placement scenario of singapore is not that good. Students need to struggle a lot fot it.

and besides the 25,600 USD.....how much more amount will be required for other expenses?

Kindly give a fair idea as we need to make the arrangements for the same.

Had applied to SP Jain in jan but only decided to take the aptitude test now after seeing al the other disastrous results in CAT and XAT.

my profile as of now is:
class X- 88%
class XII-91.75%
Eco(H) SRCC ,Delhi
1st yr-52%
2nd yr-63%
3rd yr-54%

Have pretty good extra curriculars both at coll and school.........dramatics,debating, plus district level basketball n other games at school
have certificates 4 academic excellence in all my senior classes at school.
Currently wrkin in an mnc as a finance research associate and wil have 8 mnths wrk experience by april

have applied for wealth amnagemnt (fluctuating between that and investment banking)

Basically jus plannin to have a reality check as to wher i stand in the application process.miserabl 72%le in CAT ...but lookin forward to the test on 25 th feb.....any kind of help would be appreciated as to what can be expected with this kind of profile....
