Hi,
I had applied for the Dec2007 intake - specializaiton GLSCM and received a call. But due to unavoidable circumstance i cudn't attend the interview.
Now, I am planning to apply for dec2008 intake.
My profile:
I have 2.5 years of IT experience. UG - B.E mechanical.(CGPA:8.67)
X - 85.36% and XII - 91.2% CAT - 86% , ECA: pretty decent,
Also have published International Journal paper.
Last year the Minimum Eligiblity criteria for CAT was 80%. Is it the same this year also? Or do i need to take SPJAT?
Also, please let me know whether my IT background will be at a disadvantage for applying GLSCM... as I could find mostly people with Mech-experience in the current batch...
Cheers,
Anand Syril Relax. You are competing against yourself.
yes the cut off for CAT would be 80%ile for the Dec 08 intake as well. As you CAT score is fine you need not take the SPJAT (provided it is a CAT 06 or 07 score as we are not accepting scores prior to that)
Your IT background would not be a disadvantage while applying for the GLSCM stream
Thanks
Shweta

Hi,
I had applied for the JUN2008 intake but was waitlisted initially and finally didn't get a call.
Now, I am planning to apply for Dec2008 intake--specialization SMM.
My profile:
I have 2.5 years of IT experience.
UG - B.E (74.5%)
X - 93% and XII - 81%
SPJAT FEB'08--78% ,
ECA/professional achievment : pretty decent,
I would like to know if I need to appear for the SPJAT again or the Feb'08 score is valid and 78% is enough to get a call.
The quality of both programs is the same. However, the Dubai-Singapore program being a one-year program is more rigorous. Apart from a three week break during the year, there are no holidays. The specializations in both programs are different. In terms of the number of classroom hours, the Dubai-Singapore program will have 900 hours; that is about the same as our two-year program in Mumbai.
The Admission criteria has been clearly mentioned on our website.
Thanks
SHweta
