hello mam,
Myself Nalin Shukla working as software eng from last 1 year.And iam interested to take admission in DEC 2008 ,but still i dont have any kind of score ,LIKE CAT,XAT and all..so will u tel me when is ur next application will start an and when is ur nexct SPJAT test so i can give that
Its it necessary to fill application form after giving SPJAT.or we can proceed before only.

I am Sanket Saxena. I am in final semester of BCA which gonna complete in oct-08.I wanna apply for dec-08 session in SPJ. I hav some queries

1- From the web of SPJ i came to knw that final year graduates cant apply but as my graduation will complete in oct-08 before the start of dec-08 mba session, M i not eligible for it ?

2- Is it difficult for a fresher to get a job after his MBA from SPJ as most of the students there are having good work exp. ? Is it worth for a fresher to spend 15 lacs for MBA from SPJ ?

3-What was the minimun salary package given in last year batch ?

4-The application dates will b out post 10 may-08 as per the web of SPJ.I wanna knw if i apply for it with in 5 days of opening of lines when will they conduct SPJ entrance exam means after how many days of application a student has to appear in exam?

5-My last question is in India MBA is of 2 yrs. But in SPJ singa/dubai its of 1 year. So does it matter ? I mean somebody told me that 1 year MBA is good for those who are having work exp but for freshers its not good to join 1 year MBA. Please clear me on this part because 15 lacs is not little amount.Being a fresher how much it worth to spend 15 lacs for 1 year MBA for a guy like me whose graduation academics percentage is 75 % ?

I have already replied to your query yesterday stating that as of now we have not fixed the dates reg the aptitude tests for the Dec 08 intake.

HI,

1. You need to be a graduate ( ie have your final yrs marks in hand) before applying for the programme.

2. It is not difficult for a fresher but naturally companies also prefer experienced candidates unless the fresher is brilliant. We also prefer students who have work ex but are willing to consider freshers who are outstanding

3.I do not have these details.

4. We havent yet fixed the date for the aptitude test for the Dec 08 intake. A student can apply without a score but we will not shortlist a candidate who doesnt havea score. You may even take the test and then apply. However in your case you would have to wait till your final yr marks

5. Well like I mentioned earlier - it does not matter whterh it is a 1 yr or 2 yr MBA - a fresher has to be outstanding inorder to get good placements post completion of the MBA

Hi,

1. you can apply only when your results are in your hand and not before that

2. I cannot comment on your chances as that would be the decision of the admissions commitee. We do consider freshers only who are outstanding

3. your CAT score is fine you need not take the GMAT

Hi Rutty,

Whats happening with you ? Another season of MBA starts, My history with SP Jain is old.

Dec 2007 - got an interview call but could not convert for IB (spjat - 77%)
Jun-2008 - No call for interview , diff Was I made my application stronger by adding achievements and two NCFM ceritifcations. It was for IB only
Dec 2008 -There is sometime for filling application.
This time I have to make my application strong
have joined GMAT coaching at princetion to scale upto 700
Planning to change my specializtion from IB to IT .

Are these changes recommended

Mam Thanx 4 solving most of my queries......
But I just want 2 ask that will the intake of december be open if I get my degree in July........Also with the extra curriculrs,hostings and other memberships as stated in the previous mail can U please give me the stream 2 which I can opt for...........I hav done manageriaal tasks and orgaizational work and am interested in IB and Marketing.........Please guide and do tell me my chances..(though I know that it is tough 2 decide at this point of time and it solely lies in the selection panels jurisdicatuion )......but please tell 4m ur view point......

Hi,

Well you must choose the spec that is of your choice and interest. Trying to achevie a GMAT score of 700+ would be a good decision
