Thanks for your Reply.
Does this mean that everyone having less than 60% in his\her graduation are in waiting list?
does this also mean that if i would have had 800 in gmat or 99%ile in cat still i would have been added to the waiting list?
Thanks and Regards,

Hi,
There is no such rule where a marine engg cannot apply for our finance or mkting spec.
But yes there should be some logical progression and reasoning for the switch in field.
Once you have been evaluated for a particular spec it is not possible to change your spec.
The placement details for our logistics spec are very clealry given on our website
Thanks

Is it that you don't prefer marine engineers to opt for other specializations like finance? Are the students completing their gmba in global logistics and supply chain management getting good jobs in India with good packages?
At a later stage of addmission can I change my preference if I so desire.
thanking you mam

Hi,
Most likely yes they would be waitlisted however there will always be exceptions as in - we look at the overall profile and if the Admiissions Committee feels that the candidiate is lacking in the academics section but brilliant in outher areas he/she maybe shortlisted.
Thanks

I have been given this message on the website: Thank you for the interest shown in S P Jain, Dubai-Singapore’s GMBA (May 2008 intake) program. We are in receipt of your application and on screening the same we find you falling short on some of our admission criteria due to which we have kept you on our waiting list. Periodically (there is no specific time frame for doing so - it is done as and when the need for doing so arises) this list is reviewed and students moved to the evaluation process. Please check this website at intervals to ascertain if there has been any change in your admission status.
Is it possible for anybody to tell me why I have not been shortlisted. Please do not misunderstand me. I am just trying to ascertain why SPJain did not shortlist me. Contructive feedback is the essence of improving oneself and thats what I am looking for.
If its graduation marks as suggested by an earlier post, then please bear in mind that I am a medical doctor and marks are not easy to come by.

Dear Mohit,
While we do not give out specific reasons as to why a candidate is waitlisted - it could be any of these factors - academics, work ex, extracurriculras, achievements etc.
Also, we do receive some outstanding applications for the IT stream and hence competition for places is very tough.
However this waitlist is reviewed from time to time by the Admissions Commitee as and when need be, and students found suitable are shortlisted. However there is no exact date as to when this would happen.
Thanks
