Hi rutty,
Im dhivya, I applied for the JAn 2008 intake on 5th of October(online) and sent the recommendation letters on 10 th October.(I had written my CAT in 2005 and I had specified my score)
My application status shows as:
Thank you for your interest and your status will be updated shortly.
Does that mean that I have not been shortlisted for the evaluation process since the three weeks time is over?
I would be glad to hear from you.
Thank you once again for your time.

Hello Rutty

What should a person do when there are no replies to the mails being sent at gmba@spjain.org??? We do not expect a perfect answer but we expect atleast a reply from you stating that our email/query is being looked at.

My application ID is IB-17127 and i was assured last wednesday 24th Oct, that SMM offer letter would be sent to me on Monday, 29th Oct. I have not received any email from the admissions office till date. On calling the office, i was told that the offer letters are being dispatched.

Till now, i have received only assurances from the admissions office. Do you have any idea of how many days we are left with arranging and submitting the total fees and putting our papers in our respective organizations?

Its only the students who will have to bear with the difficult loan process in a shorter time-period. Its only us who will lose money due to notice period issues.

I never expected such an irresponsible behaviour from a world-class college like SP Jain.

Your status hasnt been updated yet. It takes about 30-45days for your final application status.
Kindly wait for a while longer to know your status.

Havent you recd your offer letter over email?
that was sent to you last week and the hardcopy offer letters were to be sent out this week. The offfer letters would but naturally be dispatched only today as Rutty returned to the office only on monday to sign the same.
pls give me all possible email ids - as maybe the email hasnt reached you.
Also i suggest pls check your junk/spam emails

will look into this and revert asap

I received my offer letter today at 5:15pm by email after pursuing hard - making calls and dropping mails to the office. I have no idea when the hardcopy would reach!

It has been a frustrating experience so far

and i am gearing up for even worse days in future

Just a suggestion from my side for betterment of this process: Kindly reply back to people on their emails telling the correct situation than hiding it...

Anyways, thanks a lot for responding to my message here.

Hi Rutty,
I have been shortlisted for evaluations in november. I have 2 questions at this stage I want to clarify:

1. What degree does the course provide? Is it a certification/diploma course and is it an MBA,MMS..?

2. Incase I am slightly more inclined towards the june intake for personal reasons, should I mention this at the interview?Will this after thought affect my application, in June or even in Jan 08?

Pls be rest assured that our admissions porcess is completely transparent and we have no interest in hiding things from anybody -students included.
and not to worry the days ahead wont be worse but i request you to pls keep a cool head and be a little patient - as things cannot happen immediately.
We have so many studnets matters to look into that it is only natural that things cannot happen at the snap of your fingers.
We have our own procedures that we have to follow and they take up their own due time.
