Hello Rutty,

This is supriya. I wanted to apply to SP jain singapore/Dubai. I had a few questions regarding the same..

1) whats the difference between the jan 2008 and jun 2008 cycles? Are there any specific reasons for having two different cycles of intake? I am asking this question because i wanted to know if there are any advantages in applying to one cycle over another. I am not sure in which cycle i need to apply..

2) when will the application process for june 2008 open?

3) I had taken up xat last year and i have a 89 percentile. On the xat score report i see that it is valid till december 31 2007. Is it possible for me to apply with this score for the june 2008 cycle of sp jain?

Ya thats all we had to send... they will create our logins and.. we will be able to access it on 23d. ok ..
Can you tell me about the types of essays we will be asked.. and from where to practice it . ..

You want to know about the essays during evaluation process...If yes please read on or else ignore...

I had my evaluations on 1st of Sept....We had 2 essays to start off with..:
1. State an instance where you took up a leadership job and what did u learn out of it.
2. Tell an innovative solution that you have provided at your wrk .

This was followed by a business essay:
1. You are teh head of business of service/product...What 3 things would you do to enhance your sales.

Please feel free to ask any queries.

Hi Neha,
Im not sure if we will get 2 write essays. Coz its just a 1 hr long test. Anyways i read it somewhere on this forum only that there will be 6 sections: verbal, RC, Quant, DI, GK & Reasoning. Though i doubt if they can hav so many sections in jst 1 hr.
& No i havent filled any form yet. do we also hav 2 fill d form b4 d exam??

how much weightage do they give it to essays...
So did u get the results...
Is there any thing like sectional cut off ... how long will be the paper..

i had asked one quest earlier...but it got lost in the posts after results were out...can somebody confirm tht we can apply again in Jun'08 if at all somebody is not able to make it in Jan'08 intake....

You are welcome...nopes I didn't practice....I just thought off it instantly.. you get 20 minutes for each essay.....

They don't let you know the weight age of essays but while you go for the panel interviews, they read your essays before interviewing you... So the better you write, the more impressive you look...

I have got the results, I 've got the offer for admission...for Product marketing management.

I haven't given the SPJ exam, so I guess i might not be able to answer on the same. You can ask me regarding everything else.

I think in that 1 hr test essay is not included...
i think it will be seperate... .
