Dear Kapil Mahajan,
The cut off for GMAT is 650, you meet that requirement so you dont need to take the test again. we do have students in our batch who have switched their fields. Should you go through the initial screening and be called for the evaluation stage - it would be upto you to convince the panel that you have sufficient background knowledge of the specialization you are opting for and that you would be able to cope with the switch in your field of education/work experience.

Dear dmvars,
Thank you for this feedback.
Will Improvise on the points mentioned.

From a candidates point of view, he is interested in getting over with the formalities for himself but for the support staff it is a routine (and actually a monotonous) exercise to handle so many candidates in one day – but still they showed lot of energy in doing the job.
- The second round of interview which was taken by the Director himself, was also a nice experience and I should praise Mr. Director for being such a patient listener (since for most of us, for most of the time during the interview it was we who were asking our queries to him and he was replying to each of the questions in detail). Even though files of so many candidates were lying in front of him for processing, he was giving enough time to each of us.
Things which has scope of improvement- As part of the evaluation process guidelines being sent to the short-listed candidates , the following things can be high-lighted / reiterated & added (in addition to what is currently there)
- They need to bring 3 Passport Size Photos (this requirement is missing in the existing guidelines)
- All the documents (copy of originals like Passport, academic marksheets/certificates,experience certificate) needs to be ATTESTED – otherwise during the document verification process , the candidates needs to sign an UNDERTAKING that they will be sending a ATTESTED copy set once they return home after the evaluation. (So to save time in writing the under-taking and to speed up the whole verification process, they are advised to carry the ATTESTED docs with them. This point need to be reiterated since most of the candidates were taking this point lightly.)
- The candidates can bring with them a XEROX set of the ATTESTED copies,Application form (one with the photo) & call letter, since that is required to be submitted (this requirement is missing in the existing guidelines, and it was quite a time consuming experience of getting it Xeroxed at the eval center so why not the candidates can be told to come prepared.)

Dear Katzenjammer,
There is no reason to get disheartened as the admission process is still going on. The wait list s are reviewed from time to time as and when the need be by the admissions committee and candidates who meet all the criteria is called in for Evaluation.
The reference forms are mandatory but this is not a criteria for short listing to the Evaluation stage.

So can I assume that the waitlist status is on account of the still to be received referee forms? Have any candidates been shortlisted for evaluation process after September 2nd? Have any candidates receive their status as something like 'Rejected' or something like that in the website after applying for the same?
Any others who are similarly in the wait list or rejected may please clarify my query.
Thanks,

Dear Vivek_ggupta,
Reference forms are mandatory but it is not one of the criteria s for short listing candidates to the next stage.

I checked my application status today and it is showing waitlisted.
My refrence letter would not have reached till now and would be reaching in a day or two.
Is this wait list because of the same.
Thanks

Dear storm07,
There will not be any change in the application number, you can go ahead and use the number which was given.
We have taken a note of the change.

Hi rutty_bharucha,
Please answer me this query.
I already have XAT 2006 Score.
Now if I want to apply for June 2008, I guess this score is acceptable (As according to website its written that you accept last 3 yrs score).
But if I want to apply for June 2009, is this score acceptable???...
If one has done graduation in IT and worked for 2 yrs in IT field
But as interested in HR field joined 1yr of PGDHRM.
So if she wants to apply for HR specialization while taking GMBA, is it necessary to have work ex in HR before that??? | | | | | | | |

Dear pssharma,
As of now we accept CAT/XAT/GMAT scores for the last 3 years. If you are looking at applying in June 2009,Please look on the website for details that year.
Yes you can choose a specialization of your choice based on your interest and knowledge in that field. we do have students in our batch who have switched their fields. Should you go through the initial screening and be called for the evaluation stage - it would be up to you to convince the panel that you have sufficient background knowledge of the specialization you are opting for and that you would be able to cope with the switch in your field of education/work experience.
