. amen kgkid.

i had my duke interview yesterday (saturday/delhi). here are few derivatives.

- another easy going interview. jessica the adcom officer specifically mentioned that they do not view the application before the interview so they dunno whats written ikn the essays etc. they just have a copy of the resume. so it becomes a conversational interview rather than a grilling session.

- same questions- why mba, why duke, what after mba, short/long term, leadership queries, ur strengths, ur weaknesses etc etc. at the end...anything u want to tell us?

- i enquired about the requirement of the calculus course- she said that once u are given admission it will be on the condition that u complete such a course online or fultime. so i guess we need to scout some online courses. but rest till u get the admission offer.

- toefl- fr indians wont be required as we have our undergrad degrees in english. i didnt ask about this...she mentioned it herself.

last but not the least, beautiful babe!

Hope you pretended not to notice

Looks like you did well. All the best! I wanted to go to Delhi for the interview but chucked the idea because of the fog etc. plus I'm way behind schedule with my apps.

Have any of the wait-listed candidates from R-1 on this forum got the letter from Duke as yet? I am still awaiting this letter so was just wondering if anyone else in India has got it till now?

No idea? Why? ats reported that he had his interview, right. So i dont think they cancelled. But what is the number of candidates from delhi who attended the interview? We dont have many here on the forum it seems.

dont think that's true... had mine today morning and know for one thing that they had back to back interview slots... one of the other applicants mentioned that they had even mailed him... asking him to reschedule if possible ...to an earlier date....
make no mistake...the response rate on this forum might be low... i think there were 3 interview panels in the morning today....

Re: Fuqua (Duke) 2007 Interviews and Beyond - 09-01-2007, 05:14 PM

hi guys!

i am a new entrant to this forum... came to know about it a few days back...

i had my interview today in Delhi...

Qs as follows:
  1. why mba?
  2. why now?
  3. why duke?
  4. work experience related stuff
  5. lots of team related Qs (how u handle, learnings, role u wud play in a team etc..)
  6. leadership style
  7. qualities of a leader u admire
  8. what makes u unique?
  9. outside of work, u do...
  10. anything u wanted to tell and v didn't ask?
  11. any concerns about duke u have?
it was around 40 mins...

as many ppl have told, the interview is quite relaxing... but one thing was clear... the guys r team focused... so be prepared for handling team dynamics related Qs...

and congrats to those who have made it to duke!!!

the app instructions says that the final decision by march... but do they release admit decisions even before that? any ideas?

cheers!
