The school is very generous provided you have the right profile and skill set. Personally my experience has been that in terms of scholarships, they are one of the most competitive. School also has no funding issues and that you would feel here once you visit the campus.

If you have not heard anything even after 15 days of application, do contact the school. Also a note of caution, scholarships are rare in 3rd round (for any school)

Regards

Akshat

Everyone is good yaar. It's just the stroke of luck. I think i was able to convince the quality of my work ex and extra curricular activities and being the best fit. Also one of my reco was written by my UK client.I had applied after deadline, had interview on 12th and admit decision on 14th.. everything fast. I think even GMAT score mattered since 80% of the 1 yr guys have less than equal to 710 . Have a scholarship of $12500 per semester which is the best part.

Hi akshatpa,
Can you please tell me some books on economics and finance which you following in 1st year. I have been asked to brush up these things. Will be grateful. Also , are all the rooms available in campus are double occupancy, is it cheaper to live outside campus ? How much time it takes in getting student visa. Are there my kind of profile in 1 yr there ( less work ex), if yes how has been there placement( i banks, consultancy).

Rest many queries coming your way in bits and pieces.
Thanks
Gautam

Hi akshatpa,

I have been offered admission to the One Year MBA program starting May 2007 with more than 50% schol. My profile is

GMAT: 710
Work Exp: mostly in IT (total 8.9 years in HCL Tech, TCS, Maruti, Tata Cummins)
BE Mechanical
Acads: good

I have been asked to complete "Corporate Finance" and "Financial Accounting" as pre-program courses. I can take "Financial Accounting" from Harvard online courses. Can you please suggest any online course in "Corporate Finance". Is it possible that I can do a self study on Corporate Finance and appear for a written exam at the Goizueta Business School when I join in May 2007.

Thanks
