The aptitude test had 4 sections

1) Quant ( which was medium lev )
2) GK (very hard ) the question where very specific: In which month the Indian national congress was formed etc
3) Reading comp ( inference, wht is the pass about etc )
4) Critical reasoning ( very hard if you dont know how 2 go about it)

Hi everybody.

My name is Harsh Jain & i m frm hyd. I got few queries reg. GMBA. PLease help me out.It might also help other students.
1) Firstly you have made intake in your college twice(Dec & june) the year, moreover from this year 2 new specialisation course has been added. So that means no. of lecturers would also have to go up, keeping the quality of education(that S.P.Jain provides).
(2) More important now that no. of students in your college will be more than double(as compare to previous batches), how will you deal with 'Placements' because now many students will compete. Would like to know whether the no. of recruiters are going to increase or same companies will recruite more?

i gave my Sp jain test on the 16th and got a call for the G.D and the G.I.
After that it was like an elimination and then i got called for P.I.
This is where the irritating part comes in.
I do not have any work ex and am a fresher, but if you read the eligibility criteria on the SPjaindubai site you will see point 6 which says a certain no of seats are reserved for freshers.
My gd gi were excellent and i was told in the PI that:
"you have met all our criteria but you dont have work experience"
I asked wot m i to do, so i was calmly told ,
"come bak wid a few yrs of work ex n we shall do something bout it".
My question is that if they do not want freshers then why cant they specify from before. Wasted 3000 rs for crap n still dont see why they have written a quota reserved for freshers.
btw from a couple of friends who know people there, i have heard that the course is madly intensive and they run through like a bullet.
maybe someone could enlighten me on dat aspect also

i did not get u clearly, u gave the exam on 16th Sept ie day before yesterday and got a call for GD and PI so early and they have evn conducted the GD and PI.

i am a bit confused. how can it be done in a matter of couple of days.

I had also given the SP jain test on 16th sept at Bangalore, however i hav not heard from them so far.

Hi Guys,
I guess now i have first hand information about the whole admission procedure. Here is the deal.

I appeared for SPJAT on 16th in Mumbai. I was shortlisted for test and interview for the next day.
There are 4 rounds:
2 Essays 100 words each 20 mins
1 Case Study 500 words 20 mins
Group Discussion 15 min - 2 min to summarize
Group Interview 45 mins - 3 guys, depends upon individuals.

My perception is, they are looking for expirienced people. Since the course is of 1 year duration but still 900 hours, they want to be sure you make out the maximum from it.

The catch is, if you are from finance,they would expect you to opt for Finance. For example, if you are an IT professional, you need to apply for IT Management. Or if you are looking for specialization in different field, be prepared to answer questions about it. There would be a lot of them. They will grill you with it.

After that, if you are shortlisted, you are called for Personal Interview. Around 15 mins. There would be general questions. Nothing specific. Probably, they would try to make out what you would gain from the MBA and whether you are matured enough to do it. Your clarity in answering the quesitions would be helpful.

One personal advice, whatever you say in Group Interview, be sure you know what you are talking about. Don't use jargons. Be very specific, short answers would suffice.

I spoke to one of the staff members. She told me that the degree we would be getting would be from SPJain Mumbai.
