Hi Ankush and BTDTE...

I dunno know if my gyan is worth in front of BTDTE
Then too I will put some comments from my side..

See i interacted with a guy name Sachin(he is going for the current NUS batch)..

He has interacted on an extensive basis with seniors out there...
Finance secene is damn good..u get offers like 1 Lakh Singapore dollars in reputed firms...

Avg salary is arnd 76 thousand S$

Job scene is pretty good as Singapore along with whole Asia is booming...

IIM grads who come to work in Singapore gets paid less than those passing from NUS..

3) Indians are able to find jobs ... No issues heard so far of not getting a job bcos of Indian ciitizenship.

True ,

As Priyank has mentioned , such are the kind of positive feedbacks I have received from the NUS current/graduated students . Job scenario sounds good .
As a matter of fact , the full time student strength has been increased from 120 something to 220 this time .

Hi BTDTE,

Congrats!!!

I am also looking for similar colleges (from Asia and Australia) as you have selected. But I want to come back to India after MBA and work from here. Do NUS get Indian recruiters??
Do u have any idea which Asian schools have Indian recruiters??

So unless u have thought of plans how to manage for a job after MBA , u might face issues.
Thing is I hadnt and thats why I am going NUS and not AGSM ......

2) I dont know but I find a bit unusual that a guy who did his MBA from AGSM has to come back at IIMS to councel . It better be a personal decision .......

So my friend , you have to take the final call .
After all I could be wrong like other mortals

Hi,

I just wanted to highlight that there is the concept of a 'bridging visa' in australia that will entitle u to stay there after finishing ur mba till the time your Permanent Residency Application is accepted/rejected. Please let me know if you think otherwise.

You can also apply for HSMP in UK if u are a graduate from MBS/AGSM. Check out the link:http://www.workpermit.com/uk/hsmp/mba_provision

Thanks,
Manas

Hi Saurabh,

Sorry ... Dont have such an insight to the recruiting company profile as of now. Maybe I would be in a better position to answer your query once I reach NUS in August ....

Hi Manas ,

As far as I know , which is like 99% correct , Bridging Visa works like this:

Getiing a student visa , citizenship takes some time during which one's existing visa may expire . Bridging Visa is used in that scenario to legitimate the stay of individual in Aus .

1)Often at the end of the study course in Australia , ppl are still in the process of looking for jobs and student visa is about to expire . So often Indian students take up an extra elective course of study and apply for "Bridging Visa " to extend their stay stating that they need the extra time to compelete their study .

2) In case one is interested in acquiring the Aus citizenship ... Australia has a point system for citizenship process. If you have 120 points u can apply ... If u have studied in Aus for 2 yrs or more u get some 20 points or so..
U dont get these points in normal course of study of MBA in MBS and AGSM as both the study duration is less than 2 yrs .

If anybody thinks I am making a wrong statement , please point out to me

Hi BTDTE,

There are 5 classes of bridging visas.. will find out the details of the kind i was referring to in my previous post and let u know.

another thing that i have heard is that u can apply for an aus PR before starting the mba course.. on the basis of ur work experience.. and later when it is being processed ur mba degree will add points.. i am not 100% sure about this.. these days i am looking into the australian pr rules.. will definitely post my findings on ur forum later.

Manas
