Why do you believe we would know better about where you should apply? I'm an MBA alumnus; and for what it's worth, your approach is wrong! Try the below:
1) Finance and General Management are vague terms. What is it that you would like to do functionally? When you say finance, is it investment banking, equity research or finance for an industrial / manufacturing company (like financial analysis / control or treasury management)? When you say General Management - everything is general management! You'll require a few years of functional experience, and industry expertise to reach the senior / general management roles in any company or industry..... Point is - choose one or two hard functions that you want to get into.... research them well, understand what sort of people get in, and what sort of people these jobs require.... if you have friends from the IIM (as an ex IIT - you almost certainly should) who are in positions / functions you're targeting after an MBA, ask them about their jobs, what they do, what competencies they look for in their colleagues & peers etc... and check out what skill gaps you have, then understand the education you require to address those gaps....
2) Once you know what you want to do functionally, think about 2-3 industries and 2-3 companies
in each industry that you'd like to work for. If you want to do a financial / business analyst role in a large-cap high-tech like Microsoft or Oracle or SAP, understand what education you need (finance + technology management etc..), then look at schools where these companies hire in good numbers! If they (example only) hire a lot from Michigan or Berkeley, you might want to research those schools closely for the tech-management education, while ensuring they also have strong finance departments. If investment banking is your thing, research schools where the banks recruit in numbers, like the major east coast / mid-west schools / LBS & INSEAD in Europe etc... IF you want to enter a major management rotational program in a fortune 100 industrial, look at where these companies recruit, then research those schools.
3) Lastly - carefully analyze where you want to work and in practical terms, where you
can work. In the last year and the next 2, the US has been is likely to prove less welcoming to international MBAs given challenges with the skill worker H1B program. You might want to work in locations like the UK (with it's HSM program), or Asia or Latin America where depending on language & business technical skills (including pre MBA work-ex) you might find opportunities. So if you want to work in the UK, look at US or European schools that are
on the HSMP MBA provision list. Most of the US Top 20 are, as are some 10-12 schools in Europe & Asia... If Asia, look at INSEAD's Singapore campus.... If Latin America,
improve your Spanish skills
before heading to an MBA program and then appl to school with strong links to Latin America (IESE Barca etc..)..
Point is - you need to use the right process to find results potentially beneficial to you, because the MBA is an extremely individual, personal and preferential exercise....
Good luck.
