Hi,
I have been reading and trying to find more info about Columbia GSB and MIT Sloan. It seems like Columbia would be a good choice for finance.
I would like to know if someone could give me a small note about any of these schools which would help me pick the relevant one. What I am looking at is the general positives about the school and their strength.
Cheers

Hi All, Compared to the information about GMAT, there is a real dearth of TOEFL information. So a few queries that I will be grateful if some of you gurus can answer: 1. How long on an average does it take to prepare for the TOEFL. I know the answers can be subjective. But any guesstimates will be useful! 2. What study material should one refer to? (eg: For GMAT, we refer OG, Kaplan, Princeton, etc.) What should one refer for the TOEFL? 3. Are there any MOCK testprep materials for TOEFL the way we have GMATPrep, etc for GMAT? Which test prep materials are considered standard for the TOEFL that one ought to practise with? Many thanks. Regards, - TheToastedBread

TOEFL ADVICE
i took toefl two years ago. the score has now expired. the test has also changed from a computer based test to an internet based test. but nevertheless i feel there is nothing much to prepare for toefl. if you have prepared for the verbal section of gmat and if you can speak english fairly okay-ly then u do not need extra prep. just go ahead and do the few practice tests that are there in the cd that the TOEFL people send. (i hope they still send that cd.. im not sure though).
for me that was more than sufficient. for others whom i know who have given toefl, that was more than sufficient. so i presume - it is more than sufficient. Look no further!
by the way: im not taking toefl again as all the schools that im applying to do not want a mandatory toefl as most indian undergrad studies are in english. just send em adcoms a mail and they say so themselves.
cheers. ats. | | | | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to ats For This Useful Post:

Regards, - TheToastedBread | err...actually im new to pg but is this the right thread for such doubts??...anyway, i took the toefl-ibt on sept 12 this yr...got a 117/120...thr's sample test on the ets site to get familiar with the basics of toefl...but if u really wanna "practice", try to get hold of the kaplan cd for toefl...its all u will ever need...
the thing is tht, the toefl-ibt wud b a piece of cake for someone who has taken the gmat/gre..so if u've alrdy taken the gmat, i wud say it'l take u 2 days of prep, max!!...trust me...the only thing u need to take care is not to get frustrated coz the toefl duration is 5 hrs!!!.. ...so hope u have good endurance!!..

Hi All,
I wanted to know if there are any classes in Mumbai which conduct mock interviews for international B-Schools.
Thanks,
