whats the best way to finance the MBA. Will Indians be eligible to get Loans from Canadian bank or should we get only from Indian Banks.

If Rotman is my fianl move what should I do now, other than paying the 3k CAD.
Thanks in advance

Sakthi,
I got my canadian visa while I was in the US, so it took me only a couple of hours. Its a different story if you apply for your visa in India. It can take upto a month there. But generally most students have got their visa without any hassles. (Those who did face problems eventually got their visa in time.)
Looking for housing early is important. Check this link for university housing details and contacts..

Get yourself on any required waitlists now itself especially if you are coming with your family.
Unfortunately it is not easy for international students to get loans from canadian banks. International students are also not eligibile for the special student loan program that Rotman has negotiated with Scotia Bank. I got my loan from TERI which is student loan provider based in the US. I think the Indian version of this loan is the Paras foundation(
https://www.isloan.org/faqs.htm). There is another US organization called IEFC. All these loan providers need a US cosigner though. They will give you upto $45000 USD/yr for your expenses. I did not research any options with the Indian banks, but I can find out if any of my classmates did.
If Rotman if your final move then first priorites would be to start your visa application process as well as try to finalise your financing options. Putting yourself on housing waitlists is also a good idea. The MBA Program Services Office is very helpful too and you might also want to clarify any administrative questions with them.
p.s. If you are coming to Canada, you might also want to look up the option of applying for Permenant Residency here. This requires a number of documents, so start collecting them as well.
