Expected intake around 50... !
hey guys... no one did put anything abt what was the GD topics or case studies.

Plus... I want to know abt what's the gender ratio of the applicants... & at the insti as well.

Didnt see any great genger ratio. We were about 18 on day 1 in bangalore and it 16 Guys : 2 Gals ,

We were made to wait for 5 hours...cause the professor wanted to give us all a second chance and then he said we have aggravated our chances..

My GD happened y'day.. at mumbai the gender ratio was better... 3 gals .. infact the profi was telling that if u want to qualify for schol then u must be a gal or be a bangladeshi/kazaki.. or somali...! then ur chances are very bright...!
our gd was equally bad... pi was okey.. most of the junta was around 2 yrs exp... n most of them were told that u don't qualify for the schol...
gals were asked abt when do u plan to get married etc...
results must be out within 3 weeks.. let's c..

H ad my GD/PI on the 16th of Feb. in Mumbai. GD was cool... actually at the end of the discussion the Prof actually mentioned about being one of the very few groups who argreed on a "structure" to resolve the argument rather than just keep howling. So really dunno whether it was a plus or a minus.

The PI was essay-specific.

I'm a Chartered Accountant with 3+ years of experience with not-so- great acads but have been involved in a lot of ECA. Write novels et al so I was asked about as to whether my creative ability took over by the real life ability in my essays etc. My job demands me to a hard-driving professional so was asked as to whether I fear burnouts or not being able to be an effective leader.

Of course, the usual "Why MBA?" and "10 years from now.." thing was also posed.

Other than that, my Dad went to some workshops and other short-term sessions at AIM and he came back with good reviews. Of course, everyone is aware that generally foreign colleges do not advertise their programs on the basis of placements. Everybody is also unanimous on the education front. Of course ROI does seem to vary from person to person.


I guess that surmises everything. I'm gonna do the course if they take me in and thats for sure.

Then ther was this disagreement over the word concensus and summary and this went over for 20 mins with the Prof. actin really pompously (finally he asked one of the candiates to get a dict. and believe me wen i say that he refused to do so, he rplied sayin that he wud delegate this TASK (oh my god!!!) to som,e one. Finally some one got it. Kudos to his initiative. We had 20 mins left and the Prof. still kept on with his usual"Ok Mr. @ , pls wat do u think" then MR.*////blah blah. No body had a idea xcept this one guy tht the preoblem was region specific (japanese are drunks and tak ages to take a decision).(I know sounds like a bad joke or dream).

Finally the sadistic exercise got over with the Prof. callin us for interviews"mine was abreeze, flat 5 mins, gen basic, srry u wnt make it to a scholarship, som thin more blah blah. and guess what wen I came out i cudnt find ny1 to send in next, guess they all got frusto and left.

But u cant really blame them, I mean cmon the Prof. was really high handed in his dealings throughout and for some reason he never let things flow.


Now I am just waiting for a call, think its in mid march that they will let ppl know, meanwhile if ny1 gets a call pls post, also if som seniors could pour in with their expeirences, I mean somehow this whole thing about forget placements, look at knowledge gained seems like a cover up operation by ppl who dnt wanna admit tht they made a mistake by joining AIM. Maybe I am wrong and I hope that I am proven wrong.

roshomaon was a movie by a Jap, but now the term is famous??? ny answers, nd if ny 1 can give a link to download movies by Akiro Kurusowa tht wud be a valu add.zzzzzzzzzzz

Holy Chickens Abhishek -- U r GD/PI session looked like the Indian way of handling the Bird Flu - I mean haphazard......

Anyway mine was @ Delhi (12th Feb- Afternoon session).
The Case Study was different - Abt some guy going out on a treasure hunt etc... But it went fine, also the PI was just fine, on an average 20-25 mins per guy. There were questions from the essays, work ex.

But looking at u r experience I am really wondering whatz up with these guys. Wud be really nice if some seniors put in their unbiased experience @ AIM and future prospects.

we are not sure if the final list is out or this is just frm one region.
