Hi Guys, I just got a call of acceptance from HULT Boston for their MBA fall '09 entry.


A bit about my profile, I am in canada and an entrepreneur having a total of 4 years of experience in different countries. My gmat was very very low 530 but i think my profile was kinda unique one.


Now, What i am getting from HULT is 13k US$ scholarship and 26K US$ loan.

So out of 51k US$ total fee i need to pay 12k$ to complete my MBA plus if you add 800$ every month expenses its coming around 22k$ expense.


I haven't applied to any other school but i am still planning to apply to Mcgill MBA


So can you please guys provide your feedback about HULT , is it really worth doing MBA from there and what kind of prospects / opportunities this MBA can offer, no one has heard about this MBA so should i take the risk ?

How is Mcgill MBA compared to HULT MBA.

I am looking forward to have an International kind of career.


The other option i am thinking is to do some more hardwork on GMAT and prepare myself for Fall 2010 entry into some reputed US schools.


I have now only 5 days to decide. So i will really appreciate your inputs and suggestions.

Just to let you know that you have one of the best offers one can get at Hult (Scholarship & Erika Loan).

I haven't heard of Mcgill. Hult is 97th in FT. I dont know about McGill but Hult is a one year MBA.

You are interested in International MBA then let me inform you that we have students from 34 countries. Hult has campuses in London, Boston, Dubai and Shanghai. So if you plan to study in Boston the you have the option to rotate to either of the other campuses in Module C and again in Module D for the electives. So you can study across three campuses.

I got an admit in Boston campus. I have been following the forums on Hult for the last few months. There seems to be quite a mixed response on the happenings aboard:though most of the forums talk about very good with respect to the academics and professors, there seems to be a concern on the career services. from what you mention in your mail i understand that there seems to be quite a good progress on that front.

I have a different question to you. The exchange program between the campuses, how useful is it really is, because it is of very short duration 1-1.5 months!!. Can you please tell me how did you find it useful if you have taken that option? is the time enough to have a basic understanding of a particular industry/business group and its culture? How does the school facilitate that?

Also, which is the main area, Hult is best at, i mean to say is it at finance/Consulting etc.

The other question i have is what are the roles that people get into post -mba and what is the average pay package. Is age a factor, considered for career placements? I am asking this question because i am 39 and have decided to go ahead with the program in Boston. At present i am a chief manager ( AVP rank) in a retail division of large bank in India and i am looking for an international experience in corporate finance.

I got accepted to Hult.

I was wondering if someone could answer some of my questions to help make my decision.

I would like to know about the academics and professors. What majors are the most popular and find the best teaching - is it consulting, entrepreneurship? These two are my main focus.

What kind of companies come and recruit - again which majors are popular?

I am confused between Hult and Thunderbird - both schools have global aspect.

I have some more questions as well. So I was wondering if someone could connect over the phone sometime.

I've been accepted in Hult Intl Buss School -London campus for MIB (Masters in Intl Buss). They're also offering 20% scholarship. Can you ppl please help me regarding the univ's value? Any suggestions as to how good the course would be and its value in the indian mkt after two yrs work ex? Their placement? And anyother helpful detail?

The Master of International Business is a new degree for Hult so there wont be any placement details available. The curriculum looks like just a cut down version of the MBA program adn the same professors will be used from what I hear. In which case the education will be first-rate. No question. The problem will be the recognition of teh "Master of International Business" degree name by employers. It is becoming more well known, but no where near the MBA level. So suggest that you "upgrade" to the MBA after you have sufficient work experience. Or look for a school that will give you a MBA without significant work experience.
