hi rpj,
u r both right and wrong as well,
ur tution fee would be app $26000.
rest is all living expenses,
my living expenses are around $700 a month,
so i assumed the same for u,
but in case u r bringing ur family,
ur exxpenses are much higher,
or if u are staying in a spearate appart, the exp are higher,
otherwise in no scenario, ur expenses would exceed than what i have already mentioned,
and ofcourse in the web site, they always put the expenses as per their standards.....
so dont worry,
in case u r coming,
jump in the flight,
u can stay at my appart
thanx

Hi Sumeet,
I hv 10 yrs of work exp. My GMAT is 640. I was looking for 1 yr MBA course, applied to Hult and have got selected there. Now I have to give them my confirmation of acceptance offer. However, your msgs hv made me confused. I'm really worried abt the placements that u say r not good for Hult.
Do u mean that there r no campus interviews and all students have to search for jobs on their own? That is scary!!! How soon does students normally get jobs after Hult. The college website says that almost 90% students are placed within 3 months of graduation. Is that true? If yes, then is it only bcos students hv made their own arrangements???
Pl rep to me urgently as my decision of giving acceptance to Hult now hangs midway!!!
Regards.

Hi zazzydude, I am in the same predicament as yours. Now what is holding me back is the fear of no job placement upon graduation from Hult.. This is the reply (portion of it) I got from Director of Recruiting of Hult:
" Last year more than 90% of Hult graduates had secured jobs within 3 months of graduation. Typically the remaining students are company-sponsored, and return to their previous employee, start their own businesses, or pursue additional education, such as PhD.
Our alumni have been hired by leading multinational companies and global development organizations in a wide range of sectors including financial services, consulting, manufacturing, and marketing. Recruiters recognize the School as a leading international business program to recruit global managers. We reach out to companies that interest our current student body (every year our student’s interests change, hence every year so do the companies that visit our school). (see placements for Alumni from 2004-2005)
While the majority of our graduates return to their home countries to work, the Career Services Office can help students who would like to remain in the US find appropriate work. This usually focuses on multinational companies based in the US who are looking for international candidates of high caliber. Leading multinationals, like PepsiCo, Frito Lay, Johnson and Johnson, AHold, have found our school to be an excellent source of job candidates as our program trains international business leaders. Last year, 47% of our student body chose to remain in the USA (see attached)."
Sumit, do you mind sharing what you told zazzydude. Thanks alot!

Hi sumit or zazzydude , can you share what did you talk about in detail?

guys,
let me clear your doubts.Hult is a very good school.it has an excellent faculty, people who are real time consultants and is the best school according to me for learning international management and to understand cross cultural teams. the study material, the faculty the teaching methodolgy is excellent. now regarding placements, apart from the top 10 colleges and a few others, the placements are not provided by the institute. i checked again the placement statistics for my senior batch and have the following information.
a couple of students have got placed in companies like caps gemini, bain consulting, kpmg,
british petroleum et.c. the real picture would become clear in march.(after 3 months of graduation). having the said that, i think if you start early, i think getting placed is not a problem in U.S. more over you have full one year in OPT to figure out the job. the best thing about the school is that you develop friends from all over the world and the faculty actually becomes yuor mentors in real life.

Hi Sumit, thanks for your reply. Pardon my ignorance, what is OPT? Also, I notice you include the pre MBA Tool in the total cost (fr ur prior post). Is it compulsory? It cost USD3800! My budget is very tight.. Lastly, would you know the details on taking a Erika loan (any max limit a student can borrow, simple/compound interest, interest on principal/outstanding loan, etc)? Thanks alot! Wish you a blazing career ahead after Hult!

Hi Sumit, thanks a ton dear. It really is a big relief for me to get this feedback. I am getting ready to get in the boat now. Have sent my initial US$ 1000/- deposit to Hult. I guess, by the time I would be reaching Boston, you would have already been placed at some place of your choice. All The Best!!!
Hi Karan, I am joining in Sep 2006. How abt u? I also am from Delhi. Are we gonna be batchmates?
Hi Simpu, Are u also joining Hult? If yes, then do tell which batch?
