If so, you can search the Hult International Business School Group and join the group there. Currently i am in contact with 2 soon to be classmates. One is Scorpio here and another lady from India whom i met with from facebook.

See you in Facebook then!

Cheers!

Hello,
I was in your same delemma once. I applied to Babson and Hult during the month of November. When i looked at the statistics from the schools in Boston that offered MBA programs and found out that Hult and Babson offer 1 year program. But Babson's 1 year program requires you to hold business degree from your undergraduate studies and i graduated from a computer science degree.

To date i was admitted to Hult and was rejected from Babson. The reason i was rejected was that my GMAT score was not up to their standard. Apparently their average Gmat score for this Fall's admission is 660 and mine was a lousy 590 .... Furthermore, they require their applicants to have at least 6 years of working experience and mine was only 4 1/2 years.

I too wish to work in the US after i graduate and like you, i am gunning for marketing as well.

Oh another advantage from Hult is that, the class time table is packed and heavily reducing the semester breaks. So in another words, Hult's program is exactly the same as any other 2 year MBA program, just that Hult's is jammed packed into a year's studies. Think for the money that you will be saving. Although the tuition fees is somewhat more expenive than other conventional MBA, but the money spent in a year will most definitely be lesser than studying for 2 years. Maybe if you are deligent enough in your job search during your MBA studies, you will be paying off your expenses for your 1 year MBA from Hult after you graduate while other 2 year MBA students are only preparing for their second year for their MBA.

This is just my 2 cents of thought, i know many people have different opinions in their MBA studies and ultimately is up to you which school you wish to enroll in.

Cheers!
Jeffrey Chong

Hi,

I have the admission confirmed for HULT Dubai compus, Sep-2008 intake. Any guys for the same batch? I have applied with the intention of doing a 1 Yr MBA, now I am bit confused whether HULT MBA is a good one or not? Would this be considered in par with other Good colleges or Would it considered a very low rated college??

I chose DUBAI campus cos of the following reasons
1. Huge demand for MBA grads in DUBAI
2. Dubai's economy is booming
3. Easy to live and earn compared to Europe, not interested in US
4. I guess it would be like living in India.

Can some one throw light on choosing the HULT MBA??

Sunny

Hi Kd,

I am yet to recieve the official acceptance letter and the binder. I am not sure what it would contain? Does that contain any financial acceptance??

I am still not clear whether to accept the admission, on one side the cost of education@ HULT is same as any other good university like Warwick...but the brand Warwick has would be far superior to that of HULT>...so am really confused ...how to go ahead...HULT Dubai has got location advantage and 1 Yr programm...which is pulling me...but on the other hand bit scared about the branding it would bear...

How about ur position with HULT.

Regards,
Sunny

Hi All,

This looks like an interesting thread. I am also considering HULT Dubai for Sep 2008.

My profile: 6 years/Global Market Research/26 years/giving GMAT in 2 weeks.

My reasons for picking HULT:

Dubai, probably the most fast paced economy in this region, outside US/Europe
First batch og HULT in Dubai, so I am pretty confident about emphasis they will lay on this batch.
1 year, saves time and we can get back to work life sooner.

I had a telephonic interview with their Director of recruitment yesterday. He was pretty informative and decently impressed with my profile. He told me to pen down exactly whatever I told him on the call. He emphasized a LOT on the essay. It was pretty clear from him that value work ex and clear vision about future is something which would rank you above.

Hi,

All the best for your GMAT, Do you have any idea on the job market in Dubai, if so could you pelase share with rest of the community.

Would also like to know your view on HULT's recognition and branding as I am unable to get the true picture from the web.

HULT has been ranked by economist only in 1/2 years, they are not ranked in any other surveys, either by FT, US News or any other standard researchers. So I am confused whether to accept the admission or not. Cos the cost of eduction at HULT is same as any good university like Manchester, Warwick in UK.

Please share your thoughts if you already had done enough ground work. Do you have any personal references who are Alumni of HULT>

Sunny

Definitely would love to connect and communicate with those who will be joining the class this fall at Boston.

News to Share:

Once of the current student said that an alumni from a very recent batch managed to become a CEO with in a spam of 2 to 3 years and I sincerely believe him.

Looks like, Hult has stopped its Jan intake. Which means only one intake per year at Boston. This could be because of their recent acquisition of a university and thus acquiring another bigger campus in London, starting from sept ’09. Thus it has 4 campuses all around the world – London, Shanghai, Dubai & Boston.
