So I was wondering if we can have something happening while the AdCom busy themselves with the selection tests on R2 apps. (Have a look at AFleming's post on the inside details of the process on S2S general section )
So I was thinking on having a R2 appers meet, and if possible, have some R1 Admits to give us a few pointers on how the game unfolds from here. (I am counting on both you guys finding time from your schedules. )
Have a look at 12504.83 and 12504.91 in the Indian R2 applicants - Fall'06 thread on Wharton S2S. Are you guys active on S2S? Can you post your views in this thread on PG or in the above thread on S2S? I think meeting you guys and sharing ideas will be mighty useful.
Any one else intrested? R1 Admits/R2 appers, pls respond.
Cheers
-S | Hey .. Sorry about being to reply here, didnt see this post. If you would like to catch up with me you can do that on any sunday at naseoh - www.naseoh.org . Else if there is a meet, do let me know and I'll try to make it there. Not really checking up S2S so I might miss out on the plans. So if anything is coming up do update here and I'll send it out to the other R1 admits as well

Awaiting Wharton, HBS and USC. | Congrats. Are you the same Sahil of the "Sahil's SC notes" fame ?
If yes, then your admit is the culmination of all the good wishes you got from hazaar GMAT test takers who referred to your notes !
Curious to know your profile.

Hi ,
I am collecting this info from a lot of sources
Please answer this one , I find that in business week online the annual cost/expenditure of most colleges is somewhere around 35000$- 44000$ for a 2 year program i.e somewhere around 2000000 INR . Since the bank will give loan for a max of 1500000 and this comes to 40 lakh for 2 years ; how will I be able to manage the rest of the amount . . Did you face a similar problem ? Please tell me . Desperate to hear your answer .

Hi Mr Poirot (Am a big fan of AC myself)
Yes, you are correct. All top B-schools in US have an yearly expenditure ballpark figure of around $50-60K with the top-end ones touching close to $70K. I assume that you are talking about Indian banks here. If you get through to a top B-school, the school agrees to become your cosigner to get you a loan (upto 100%) from one of the US banks such as BofA, Citibank et al. If you get your own cosigner, you get the loan at PLR else at PLR+2%. The school tries to ensure that you are not in a position so at to be unable to attend due to lack of financial options.
Hope that answers your question.

The post above should have had just one Wah to honour MBA2006's achievement...with appropriate impact and cool ... but the system limits wanted me to register 10 characters. kya karen.
Have some questions though and one request for MBA2006:
1) how have you planned on the roi for your future educational investments?
2) how old are you?
3) are you married? do you have any liabilities?
now the request:: I am extremely keen on knowing how one would react in the period post acceptance and pre classroom.... do you run a blog.. can you?

Thanks again
Answers to your questions:
1) I hope to land a job with one of the good IB's in Wall Street. I hope the ROI would be worth the considerable investment I would be making.
2) I'm 25 yrs old.
3) No, am still single. Liability is a pretty subjective term. If you mean, liability in terms of spouse or kids.. then no I don't have any.
I don't run a blog right now but have been thinking of doing so. I'll send you the link if it does materialize. As of now, am letting the feeling of being accepted at schools sink in. As expected, I am obviously excited by the thought of being a part of one of the few elite schools and looking forward to meeting other fellow admits. Infact we had one such get together for R1 admits recently in NYC. It was really nice to meet such a diverse set of people.
