dude work hard for ur final year exams.......that will at least show that u can work hard.................try to get good marks in ur GRE or GMAT( whichever is applicable)...........try to get good recos frm da profs in ur coll..............make them mention that this chap's marks are not true indicators of his academic ability and stuf like that..............remember ur weightage is sumthing like this......
1. GRE or GMAT................25%
2. Acads...........................35%
3.Recos........................... .20%
4. Admission essay or SOP...10%
5. extra- curriculars.............10%

also at this stage u will have to weigh ur options like do u only wanna go to top ranked unis ........coz that wud b a problem ith poor acads...............nething else u wanna ask feel free to post.......

well if u r graduating this yr.................and if u plan to go for fall 2007 semester( i.e. august 2007).................this is the ideal time table u shud follow( this is entirely my view based on exp...if neone differs plz feel free to correct me).......................

->march-april........start ur prep for watever exam u have to take ...be it GRE or GMAT
->september-october..............take ur exams.......also in the mean time start searching for the courses that u wanna study( a gud source is www.petersons.com)
->November- December............get ur recos, transcripts, SOPs etc ready.........
->dec-jan............apply.............and wait for the acceptance...........

abt the scholarships......of course u r eligible for merit based scholarshis...........like TA, GA etc...........
also it will definitely be a gud idea to finish ur Mcom part 1 coz that will open up a lot of options for u.............as not all the unis accept 3 yr grad( in the US............in UK it is fine).........
abt loans.......u can apply for education loans from any of the banks...........SBI gives gives loans upto 20 lakhs....against a collateral.....like ur house , or any other property..........but that is only after u get ur acceptance from the uni....................nething else i'll b happy to help....................and yeah.......sorry for calling u a dude

Most of the top univs arrange for loan without a US co-signer. If you get into a top univ, funding should be the least of your worries. Better to focus those energies on getting into a top program!

Best of luck!

Re: Scholarship Options!!!!! - 24-05-2008, 01:46 AM

Hi,
I am Siddharth from mumbai.i have completed my engineering in Computers and looking forward for MBA Abroad.

I am currently working in Patni Computers with an expirence of 1 yr, so by the time i will apply for Universities,i will have an experience of 1.5 yrs.

Is there any chance of geting scholarships in top 50-70 MBA Universities if i get a GMAT score of 700 +.

Thanks for the valuable suggestion
