Hi All,
This is my research on Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School.

Though it appears on the Economist site ... surprisingly other reputed Rankings like FT Rankings, BW rankings and US news rankings completely forgot about it! I agree that these rankings are Pro American and they forgot our very own IIMA too

However FT ranks this school among the top EMBA schools ... at 43rd rank ... but never in the full time MBA ratings

Even their site says this:
"We are proud to be the highest ranked Belgian Full-time MBA (EIU - The Economist) and the N° 1 Executive Education provider in the Financial Times Rankings."
--- read carefuly words can be decieving here!

Again they have ...

"According to The Economist our Full-time MBA programme is N° 1 in BENELUX (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg)."

which is little difficult to buy ... with schools like RSM Erasmus University and University of Bradford/Universiteit Nimbas being in that zone! And I couldnt find any proof of this on the net ... all said and given is in the school site only

There is only one 'MBA' course there ..... the International MBA ... and others are only Masters in Marketing, Masters in finance etc. ... Which is again ok .... it depends on the varsity to give whichever degree it wants ... but how come for the international course its 'MBA' and not for others

The school site doesnt talk much about placements ....

Now the plus point is its a really old school! 1968 established .... but see the number of enrolments for Full time Course! and 80 - 90% international students!


With all these points i didnt try to put down the college .... It sure is the Best college in Belgium and even our IIMs are lacking the much deserved international recognition!!

But even most of the things Anirban said are from the school site directly .... we are getting very little to read from other places!

We have also some first hand info from Anirban..... and he claims he is satisfied ... which is good!

But still we would like to have some more info on this ..... before we decide to take all the pains of getting the Admit!

@Anirban - Can you provide us with some pointer to aluminus at India if possible ... so that we can arrange a meet up!

Also the dates of the MBA fair are in which Month?? I could get little from this schedule!
