Unfortunately unlike school there are no fixed syllabus to be followed for CAT. Most coaching institutes do give a comprehensive list of topics that the questions might be asked from. I would advice you to go through any of the standard material provided by the coaching institutes like IMS, CareerLauncher etc and go through the table of content. For GMAT the syllabus is more or less fixed and can be found from various sites like
www.scoretop.com www.urch.com www.gmatclub.com www.mba.com.

Workexperience is always considered using the following parameters: (a) full-time (b) after graduation (c) paid. So I reckon you fail in test condition (b). But the good news is that you can certainly tell the interviewers this fact or maybe include it in your essays. Constructive usage of time is always seen as a big positive.

There are no set cutoffs per se. Usually a score of 680+ in GMAT and a percentile of 99+ in CAT is seen as good enough to get you through. But obviously the more the merrier. Getting a 800 in GMAT and a 100%ile in CAT is always the dream score.
Having answered your queries, I still think that there is a long time for you to go. I don't want to discourage you from asking but do some research yourself by using google. Ask seniors in college and visit the coaching institutes to get a better idea. Having done that, visit the forum to ask more pointed questions.

PS: I think FY B.Sc is kinda early to start prep but good to have idea about what to expect.
