1. What are the toughest questions in Q like? any from topics out of range?
Do You think you made atleast one mistake in Q. Can you remember?
|
I might have made a mistake in Quant, I guessed on one DS question, I had to choose between two choices and may have chosen the wrong one.
The last hundred or so questions in PS and DS section of OG are quite tough, and are a reasonable representation of tough questions on the actual test. I don't think that any topic was out of range. One aspect that I would like to reiterate is that do not focus on the tough problems of Probability, Permutations and Combinations, I got only one question on permutations, and that too was not tough.

2. I have the higher score kaplan CD (downloaded from scoretop) Is the book really needed? I have the princeton book on verbal which seems pretty good. Kaplan 800 maybe the only book i might try to get hold of other than OG...
|
The Kaplan book is not needed. The lessons in the CD are nearly same as the book. I did not have Kaplan 800 and was OK without it, but finally it is your decision. OG is very necessary, don't go ahead without it. But work through OG in the last stages of your preparation, or atleast take the powerprep tests before OG.

3. Feel free to expand on the verbal score improvement....

I think the key is to know / find out your weak areas, through break up of your section scores while taking tests. When attempting questions from OG, measure your success rates, to identify areas that you need to work harder on.
