Thanks for the info dude. is it advisable to have pirated kaplan? because I think there is a practice cd with the original one which we won't get with pirated one. correct me if I m wrong..
And how can there be a PG meet without u all guys

nice to have a dedicated thread for GMAT aspirants from Pune....
I have not yet decided on any date for taking the GMAT...probably it's going to be the first half of 2010.....nonetheless I have started pacing my efforts towards the cause...but religious study is yet to be started..

as of now I am more into researching about the B-schools and in the process of cornering down a few of them as per my goals....simultaneously I am trying to gather information from various sources on the study materials and the right guidance from people who have been there and cleared it successfully...

this thread would add as a good platform for sharing information with all of you as we all are motivated towards the same goal...

for the starters..i just saw in a post mentioned was 'ABC' where GMAT books are available...can anybody please tell me where is this store located?

Hi dude,
welcome to the group. ABC is Appa Balwant Chowk near laxmi road. It contains several book stores there.

So fart his thread has members who are starters and are giving gmat for the first time, so its really hard to come across people who have already given, but in due course of time we will definitely have more people joining this group.

ABC has a lot of book vendors who sell pirated copies of OG 11 for some 650 bucks as the original OG 11 costs you more than 1600

Check out with the roadside vendors. I am going to ABC in a few days to buy one...will tell you the name of the vendor who sells it.

I am new to PG and am happy to find this thread. I am plannin to take GMAT in May/June but have not yet started the prep. wht can be an ideal way to start the prep. ne books, material.

you get a DVD also along with the xerox of kaplan... so its a good option ...

Hi everyone.. First of all thanks for starting this thread.. its gonna be very helpful to ppl like me who are not joining any classes for GMAT, if we all can start our prep together and plan out our everyday target and stick to it!! What say guys??

Bit of info abt me:

1) BScIT graduate
2) Have 1 year and 6 months of exp in ITeS industry.. will have more than 2 years of work ex by da time i apply to colleges
3) planned month of exam is end of July or Aug
4) Have never appeared for GMAT before

I am from Mumbai and as one of the puys from Noida i wont be able to join any PG meet that is in case held in Pune.. But I wud certainly like to join this thread and prepare with the help of it..

I have bought a zerox of OG 11 and Kaplan from Andheri's laxmi copy centre.. They give delivery serivice all over india.. atleast as much i have heard in the other threads.. I have seen ppl trying to find the book but rarely do they get it.. plz let me knw if u wud like to buy the book from the laxmi copy centre and i can put down their contact number here (if its not againts the rules).. I have the books but my prob is starting with the prep and i m very much confused about how to start my prep and from which section or which chapter.. My office makes it more difficult for me..

Is there anybody who shares the same probs as i do over here??

P.S: Plz let me knw if this thread is not whr i shld have posted this reply..
