Re: 750 in GMAT (50Q, 41V) - 28-01-2009, 10:19 AM

Hi Sjed,

Excellent score man.. i am preparing for GMAT currently and have a couple of questions:

a) Do we get one score for the AWA when we write GMAT and one later? As i understand, the essay is evaluated by a machine and then by a person.

b) Any recommendations on how to prepare for CR. I have gone through the Manhattan CR notes but they are quite basic. Also, i have been taking some section tests from GMAT 800 and they are a bit tougher than the OG tests.

Thanks....

thanks man! here is my reply to ur answers:
a) no, AWA scores are reported within 5-20 days after ur GMAT, after the exam you just get a score out of 800.

b) i preprd CR from score800 tests (as they quite weird and hard), actually in a way they prepare u to see GMAT CR easier...in CR one needs to think the way a question maker thinks..:detective:

Hey sjed,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I am appearing on 5th Mar. It will be useful if you can enlist your scores from practice tests (and sources too)

Prep is good, now on the official guide verbal review. My scores for kaplan cd tests are hovering around 600, shall improve it by atleast 50 points

On the D-Day! for you and everybody else my recommendation is that be COOL and if something unexpected happens, just try to get that out of ur mind:chillpill:...then only will you be able to exactly repeat ur performance as was at the time of mocks....i am saying this coz i saw many of my friends getting trickd by gmat and thus end scoring low.

and reach center well in time...i reached 5mins late though
