well, first of all congrats for your admit offer from Said Msc Fin Econ. That's really a quality offer in hand, and ofcourse i hope u get an offer from LBS too.
Great dude!!
I'm also lookig forward to do Master in Fin, from UK. I was looking at LSE, LBS or OxBridge. I have given my profile earlier also, B-tech Computers 65%, 2Yrs IT Fidelity Info Services(software, working for Yorkshire, Clydesdale Banks as well as Bank Of America), GMAT- 700, Good Extra Curricular.
Now, as you mentioned, LBS looks for good work ex, maybe 6 Yrs avg.
LSE, wants ppl vid great academics
And i have neither great academics and nor much attractive experience to boast about.
Just tell me, if it is just luck for me now to get offers from these schools, or still have got some cards on my table.
I'm also intrested for HAAS US, or HEC, Paris
Which others schools are good for me?
LBS, LSE, OXBRIDGE, HAAS, HEC, are on my priority list as of now.

Hey dude
I am really no authority in defining chances. Else, I myself wouldnt have applied for a LBS. LBS has a facility to mail ur resume to Peter Johnson, their admissions officer and he will reply back with a review on your profile and ur chances. Take that up.It may not give u the answer u seek, but no harm in trying.
Haas is core financial engineering...as i mentioned earlier and again is a top program in the US... so competition is going to be tough. Dont have a clue on the HEC program.
IE busines school also has a new MFin and that seems good.
Best of luck

As regards Manchester, I know someone who did her one year MSc, got a job in Marks & Spensor's retail.. was a struggle. Came back to India & is now with Microsoft in Hyd., HR division, getting about 9 lac/annum. Keep in mind that UK is also badly afffected by recession right now. The position is better in India, & Manchester in particular is pretty well recgd. in India, I have no idea about the other ins.

Dude, any good MS FE or MS Fin prog would require a RELEVANT work ex...in case u work for infy, try and get to some fin related projs...directly or indirectly...
A good gre/gmat score would be next requirement...

Hi @Harsha,
I feel LSE is the most reputed among thee (That is how I will rank these),
Also the location of LSE (London) has it's advantage over some other schools.
Cass is also a good school, but i would have preferred LSE for me, if had a choice.
Still, i think you should research a bit for your own priorities as which school suits particularly you more, and get some more views over it.
And one more thing, "impressive list of offers"
Best of luck,
Pankaj

LSE takes in people depending on the requirement of the specific prog. for e.g MSc in Finance and Accounting requires a background in accounting, which you may not have. Try for the new MSc in Finance course... that doesnt require any pre-knowledge.
The drawback abt LSE is that its an academic course... you would be probably one of the few "experienced" ppl. So, you could possibly land with a lower Analyst kind of role. Plus, I dont think you would gain a lot by just undergoing a very theoretical course. But at the end of the day.. its LSE and a big brand. But the course doesnt match up to the fees you gotta pay!!!
Oxford also has a avg work-ex of 2.5 yrs...u shud try for that.
