I did badly getting only 590 (43/29), silver lining 5.5 in AWA though I prep least for it. I am 44 with 23 yrs experience and I don't think I can give any more GMAT trys. Do you think I stand a chance at any PGPX pgms and could you suggest some? thanks in advance.
Sandy

Hi Sandy,
Thanks for your wishes. Im sorry if I missed any of your earlier query. I believe we are two opposite ends of da MBA applicant spectrum. While you have 23 years of work ex, I am just 23 years of age.
Coming to point, I have very little info about the PGPX programs. With your kind of work ex, you would need to show a good reason that y u want an MBA and dat too at this stage of your life? This is one thing that you'll be asked again and you need to come up with really outstanding essays to come to terms with this.Your GMAT score is on a lower side too, but I guess you can take care of that in ur optional essays.I dont think ADCOMs would be intrested in your GMAT score as much as they would be in your intent for an MBA.

Schools like INSEAD have a higher average age for students.....I have also seen students at LBS having work ex of 20 years.....So basically you need to research more for yourself.
But, please dont go by my words only...All this info is what I have gathered while scanning through sites, threads for info relevant to me.....It would be great if you can talk to someone who is a current student at one of the B schools, with a similar profile as urs.

Regards,
Ankit

I took GMAT yesterday. Scored a 700 (Q50,V34,AWA 6.0) in it. Im not quite satisfied with my score. I was expecting at least 720. But I guess I screwed my verbal section big time. Im writing this post to share my exp with the fellow puys. If nothing else, at least I can share what is NOT supposed to be done while preparing for GMAT.

Hi Ankit,
I need some help from you, in case you have the soft copy of the Manhattan SC Guide and Princeton Review; then I'll request you to mail me the same.

Thanks in advance...
