Gmat - 770 - 16-12-2007, 12:45 AM

Gave my GMAT on 6th Dec and got a 770 (V44 M50).

PG and ppl here, thanks for everything.

I can already see a lot of threads with ppl narrating their preparation/exam experiences. I'll keep it as short as possible.

2 months of preparation.

Material - almost everything that's available online + OG 11th edition + verbal review + kaplan premier (200.

Just one piece of advice upfront - if you have to follow something blindly, follow your instinct (and see how much its shaped by as well as matches with your preparation or the material above).

I'll be happy to provide any suggestions if you find it useful (and helpful).

Cheers !

preparation time is proportional to ur ability in understanding the topics.
if you are very good at English and quants, then u don't even need 2 months.
you might just need 1 month, i might need 8, get the flow?

there is no standard preparation time in an exam like GMAT. give it when u feel you are confident of cracking it.

Hi dude

Firstly congrats on ur great score

Am planning to take up Gmat in March 08. My problem is that am from a commerce background and have to start Quant from scratch. I guess my English is ok.

Could u just help me in figuring out the order in which i have to study the available materials??? ??:

Thanx in advance...

Hi Srinivas, March 08 gives you ample time to prepare well.

GMAT english is slightly different from what you might have seen in other VA patterns, hence I'll suggest that you begin with a few GMAT diagnostic tests which will help you in identifying your stronger and weaker points. Based on this you can prepare a plan which suits you best.

Cheers.
