Folks,
I would be giving GMAT in september. Actually I have made an appointment well in advance i.e. 20th September.
During my recent preperation for everybody who is struggling with the VA section score, I would recommend ; "Princeton Review Verbal Workout". This book can be used for building fundamentals. And then you could go ahead to work on loads of questions from OG-11R and Kaplan PP etc.
Also 1000 SC is also a good collection of questions.
I anyone finds the detailed answers for 1000 SC then please let me know...
Also a very basic check for weak fundamentals is "When we read a solution for the question that we answered incorrectly, and attempt a similar question in the future we still can not mark the answer with confidence. The inherent reason is that we are not able to grasp the concept behind working such a problem. If we analyse language/grammar rules then its pretty much similar to mathematical rules EXCEPT for the fact, its just the way they are and there is neccessarily not a reason for why is it like that.If we face such an issue then do not try to memorise the solution but track down the reason behind, which is always logical. What we need to understand in a language rule is that the correct answer is the one that the initial designers of the language would have marked."
I hope all my friends who are preparing for VA will find this post helpful.
To be very honest I wanted all you experts out there to disect what I believe in. And yes critics welcome!!!
ATB to everyone!!!
